Too many steps
There are too many steps to do a task compared to other bank accounts I have and their apps

Nice app
Easy to negotiate for almost everything. No facility to look at direct debits and standing orders though. I know back and white is the corporate colours but background colours could be changed to soften the brightness and improve the UI.

I’ve had a few problems recently with my account card possibly being scammed and First Direct were straight on it I spoke to various people every one of them was so helpful. Get me a new card and then a new number I have told. Friends and relations how efficient First Direct have been once again I highly recommend them to people and the people can more helpful and efficient 10 out of 10 for everything thanks again guys you’re great

Always the easiest to use!
As a very long term customer I can verify that fd works well and they answer the phone quickly for queries!
Payee not matching
The details of what the payee name is for the account details would help. Just saying ‘Does not match’ doesn’t help. Is the name a close match?

Usual 5 star service you just cannot get any better
Like banks used to be
Even though it is all on line First Direct give a feeling that you used to get from your local bank manager caring and attentive with a good measure of understanding.

Best ever bank
FD is totally reliable - of particular importance is the phone service you get. I have found it is answered immediately and most importantly, by someone who speaks perfect English and in this country which when it is money-matters, is essential imo. I have been with FD since the late 90s and have never had anything but excellent help and service. Highly recommend FD online banking.
