I have been with First Direct since they started. I have never had cause for complaint. Have been through taking my ex of a joint account, creating a joint account, creating savings etc always great. The access is always spot on and when you call them which I rarely need to you get a human being!! Brilliant

It would be really helpful if once I’ve changed a regular debit to a category, which is more relevant than the one which has been chosen for me, if those future debits automatically went to the category I chose for them for the month previous.

Behind the times
Whilst the App works well. It is now very dated and other banks offer higher functionality for the user. NatWest offer the ability to visually put money into pots within one account so you can see separate savings pots but only need one account. Currently with FD you have to open several separate savings accounts with FD to separate your savings. Catch up FD!

Best bank in the world
I have been a First Direct customer for over 40 years and they have given me and my husband extremely friendly and efficient service. I cannot fault them in anyway from general banking to scams. Best bank ever.

I’ve used FD for personal banking since their earliest days and the service has always been 5*. I have to use other banks for voluntary organisations i work with but the FD banking app is by far the most friendly with the best functionality. It’s the best ever!
Amazing service
FD are so brilliant with their app features and their helpline. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The training must be elite. Either way this is why I've stayed a customer for best part of 20 years!
