not helpful

your test does not take into consideration other types of ocd like pure O and it’s very stereo type based.

Stereotyped. Inaccurate

15 out of 18 questions only apply to specific types of OCD and are also stereotypes. If you have OCD but don’t have an extremely stereotypical presentation of it, you will probably get a low score.

Not everyone with OCD has obsessions about germs, numbers, or object arrangements.

Straight to the Point

I enjoyed taking this brief although detailed questionnaire about what OCD can look like, when you are tested on your telephone. I find it important that I check my Ocd for the main reason why I am grateful for the scores, numbers! I hope you all find comfort with this app due to its process and how it can interact with you is only up to you and your providers.

FAQ

What does the OCD Test app do?

The app is designed to help evaluate symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It utilizes a scientifically-supported 18-question test based on the Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory - Revised (OCI-R) to assess potential OCD symptoms. Users can track their scores over time, access information about OCD, and set reminders to re-take the questionnaire.

What are the key features of the OCD Test app?

Key features include the ability to take an 18-question OCI-R questionnaire to assess OCD symptoms, view a history of test scores to monitor progress, access informational resources about OCD, and set up notifications to re-take the test at convenient times.

Is the OCD Test app a diagnostic tool?

No, the OCI-R test within the app is a screening questionnaire and is NOT a diagnostic test. A diagnosis of OCD can only be provided by a qualified healthcare professional. If you are concerned about OCD, it is recommended to consult a physician or mental health professional.

Who is the target audience for this app?

This app is intended for individuals who may be experiencing symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. It is useful for those who want to screen their symptoms, understand more about OCD, and monitor their symptom levels over time, potentially in conjunction with professional treatment.

How can I monitor my OCD symptoms with this app?

The app allows you to monitor your OCD symptoms by taking the 18-question OCI-R test. You can then access the 'History' section to see a record of your past test scores. This historical data can help you observe any changes or patterns in your symptom severity over time.
