ExplorePay Is Pointless
Tried to use ExplorePay twice now for two large payments, and it doesn't deduct the new amount owed or show that I will be paying any less from the original balance. It's extremely frustrating as it would really help if I could spread it out like it claims, but the only option it gives me is to pay the amount in full. Nothing to show that it should be less. I owe nothing now, and I started the ExplorePay process two weeks before the due date. Rediculous. Going to drop this card and app thanks to this experience.
Also, very shady five star reviews going on with this app. A whole bunch of two to three word reviews on a very plain and misleading app? Scrolled a lot and found no five star reviews with more than five words, let alone one with a single applicable reason that can't be applied to every app in the app store.

The app needs to be written by a better software developer
The app constantly does not work when you click on it Mac iPhone all the latest operating systems
Requires restarting your phone to get into the app. This hasn’t been addressed yet after calling
Elan customer support over the years.

Improved app! Payment Game Changer😉
Much needed improvements. Thanks for listening to all who use this app on the go. The interface is awesome, user friendly and logging in and out of the app is not a nightmare anymore it’s actually pretty pleasant. Navigating the app has improved! Overall it’s much better. totally a surprise i can say! I’m not stressing to view my account or make payments with the new app improvements. Please keep the improvements coming. Thank you -Ms. Pink

Easy to see statement balance and make payments
Works well. Simple user interface. Make payments functionality is easy to use, ands clearly slows what’s left on your statement balance that needs to be paid in order to avoid interest from accruing. Plus, we love the rewards option that lets us get texts after purchases and easily choose to use our rewards for payment. Great app. Good functionality of services. Very satisfied.

Confusing
Received my City National Bank credit card in the mail with a web address for the mobile app. I go to the address and it says to download the app but doesn’t say what the app is called or a logo of what it looks like. If I didn’t already bank with City National, I’d wonder if I was being scammed somehow. Very strange way to communicate how to download the app. I hope this card is legit. Gives me a weird feeling.

Strong Security
Even though it can be tough to get into the app at times, I appreciate the security steps involved. You have patient customer service people, as I have ranted a bit at not being able to get in occasionally… mostly it was due to glitches and my poor typing skills! Kudos overall.

I took out this secured credit card, almost one year ago, to rebuild my credit. Having this app has made it so simple to see my transactions, payment due date, payments, and all my history. The app has never crashed, been slow, or incomplete. If you end up needing to have a secured credit card, definitely get this app to go along with it.

Customer service
Today it took over an hour to get my card registered properly on the app which isn’t user friendly at all - she was courteous, patient, helpful and kind. I wish i remembered her name so i could put it here. i realized i hadn’t gotten alerts about this new account and i missed my 1st payment by a few days. She helped me set up a payment but i forgot to ask if she could waive the late fee as it was an honest oversight. Overall this needs improvement.

Let’s punish our customer who has had her credit card with us for 22 yrs and increase her rates!!!!
You increase my interest rate to 28%!?!? Because I currently have a high balance even though I always pay on time and pay just about every week not just on my due date. You do it to make more money. Greedy jerks! I’m being punished even though I always pay on time never late and have had this credit card since I was 21. I will most absolutely be canceling my credit card as soon as it is paid off here shortly.

Behind the eight ball
The app is OK but I’m not a fan of the timer that is placed by default limiting the amount of time I can track all of my purchases.
My biggest complaint is that, I attempted to add my credit card to my phones digital wallet. This process was very painful. Multiple times I attempted, I was merely sent around in circles by customer services to call multiple companies just because this system does not allow for an easier set up such as Capital One being the gold standard. In the end, no one in customer service could help. They merely blamed the other companies that were involved and couldn’t believe their system was flawed. After multiple attempts and no support whatsoever, I was forced to give up the ideal of minimizing my wallet and using a service that other companies easily provided.
This company should be held to a higher standard.
