  • Excellent

What a find. I love these two pack games. Have to think much harder than the normal ones. Started at the very beginning which is an advantage as I can see not only how I progress but how I should be playing the game. Not sure if there will be any updates but if so looking forward to them. Keep up the good work.

  • Change to Subscription

The gameplay itself is fantastic, but the random switch to a system that not only doesn’t allow you to play the levels you already have, but requires a monthly fee to have access to fewer levels than there previously were? Unacceptable.
  • After the fact

Bought the game, played the game, enjoyed the game. Updated last week and they want more money. Forget it. Buyer beware.
  • Addictive

    Challenging. Very addictive. Good game.
  • It’s Always About Money...

I’ve played this game EVERY DAY since it came out. I’ve enjoyed it immensely; I work my way through all the games, in all the levels, then I go backwards, then I start again. And each time I win a few more games. I’ve never had a game that could hold my interest or challenge me the way this game has. I’ve even put up with the unbeatable levels where cards are buried behind others at the top...and assumed I just need to figure out some way to work the game.

Now, finally, an update comes along. But it’s not really an update, it seems more like just a money-grab, honestly. Developers must’ve been sitting around thinking, “Ya know, we have this game, and people love it...but we aren’t making any money on it!”....or at least “not enough money on it”. I’m sorry, but too many other games have offered the whole “daily challenge” thing, which ends up being recycled games from the regular rotation, and then, after a while, they start repeating themselves, blah, blah, blah.

My biggest gripe? Before the “upgrade”, I had EARNED access to EVERY LEVEL; after the “upgrade” I’m now restricted from four levels and expected to PAY for access to levels I’ve already played dozens of times and had already earned access to. That is neither right, nor fair.

Even “Copperknob” would be disgusted by that...

  • What's going on?

Earlier this year, I purchased the 500 game pack, and have been playing it happily to the 300+ game level. Today, I have been locked out of any games above the initial two free levels, unless I buy additional games or subscribe to the new daily game program. The latter is advertised at $29.99 annually, but the payment form tries to charge $39.99.

The game itself is worth at least 4 if not 5 stars, but the hijacking of existing rights with inaccurately described new pricing is very irritating and merits a star deduction.
    What about it, Javelin?

  • Daily feature not working

I purchased the annual subscription to allow for the “Daily Churchill” a few days ago. It is not showing up and still asks me to subscribe. $30 for nothing. Help please.
  • We call it “Winston”

My wife and I have been playing this game for a couple of years. We’ve rifled through the 500 games in the campaign. We will trade off playing the same game and sharing strategies. Our success rate is just under 84% but this is with playing the same game multiple times.

We are now playing random and my only negative is that there is no software check for unwinnable games with the cards dealt in the devils row. For example if a 2, 6 and 10 of the same suit appears in the devils row (and in that order) the game cannot be won. In order to win, when a higher card appears in the devils row after a lower of a similar suit, then that higher card must be played first from the devils row and not from the main deck. In this example the 10 needs to be played first from the devils row then the 6. But in this case the 6 cannot be played since it is blocking the 2. Random play does not check for this unwinnable occurrence.

Should be introduced to seniors since it a) stimulates the mind and 2) helps with short term memory.

Thank you Winston and Donald R.

  • Yep, it’s addictive!

One of the hardest games, but really enjoyable. I’ve invested in the extra hints and more games after the trial, and I like knowing that money goes to help veterans. But I have a few requests for the developers:
    A) since we have to pay for hints after the initial trial, could you please make it so we don’t use up a hint just to see that our next move is to go to the pile? We can already see that. We’d like to know to if there’s anything else to move.
    B) I’d really like to see a rating (easy, medium, hard) for every game. Lets me know how I’m improving.
    C) a place to make notes for each game would be pretty cool for of us with OCD who’d like to give ourselves tips and such.
    Thanks for a great game!

  • Definitely challenging

It's a new twist on an old favorite. Thanks for reintroducing this thoroughly enjoyable game. Love the history aspect too! I have 500 deals. Is that the “Legend” set or are there more? Also, my iPad screen froze when I bought more undos. Thank goodness I had the same game on my iPhone and it worked to complete the purchase and free the iPad screen. It bothers me that I cannot get help with this game. I’ve had it since it was first introduced and like it immensely. I hope the proceeds still go to vets.
