  • When the Roots app works, it works well!

    I’d like to give the app 4 1/2 stars because the app seems to work 90% of the time. It’d be great to get functionality up to 95% so I could round y’all up to 5 stars!
  • Love the food, dislike the app

    For starters, as I was placing an online order for pick up, I redeemed my $5 off and the screen glitched and took away my $5 discount and my reward offer right in front of my eyes!
    Another issue is that there’s no easy way to contact anyone from the app based on order issues.
    Additionally, it won’t let me use a gift card if my total exceeds it (which is super annoying, I just want to use up my gift card and pay the rest on my card which it currently doesn’t allow)
    Also when you order in person there is no way to scan your app to earn points.
    Hopefully these issues will be fixed soon!

  • Over complicated online process

    When I walk in why can’t there be an available kiosk to take my order and payment and schedule time of pick up. Apologies for not being tech savvy college students. We also enjoy real food. Thank you
  • Lots of Random Errors

    I always have to place my order multiple times. The payment portion sometimes gives me random user not found or better “I’d doesn’t match, user not staff” messages?!?
  • Buggy

    Didn’t work with Apply Pay, just wouldn’t move forwards. It took two tries to pay with CC.
  • Great food, sometimes frustrating app

    To start out, the app looks nice and with some UX improvements and attention to some bugs it would be solid overall. Here’s what I’ve noted in the few times I’ve used the new app:

    The CVV entry during payment would be improved if they leveraged the iOS auto-fill capabilities. Do I need to enter that every time or was it a bug that I had to my last two orders using the same card? I don’t have it memorized.

    Also, I keep getting signed out and the app doesn’t properly identify itself to Apple to enable automatic password filling.

    Most frustratingly, I keep getting errors at different steps of the ordering process: when I add an item to my order, when I pay, and, I think, when I selected a pickup location.

    Why am I even forced to select the pickup location again after I’ve previously ordered. I’m not jumping between locations in Virginia and Delaware.

    I’m hopeful this is all getting sorted out, and sometime soon if I keep using the app, these problems will all be resolved.

  • I’m not outside the delivery area

    App would not allow me to choose delivery although I’m not outside delivery area.
  • Worst possible “upgrade”

    Great salads, and they used to have a decent app. This one is awful. To reorder what you had before, you first have to pick the location (even though you want the same one) on a map. And then go through a complex ordering process to get what you always have. Incredibly frustrating.
  • Great food, horrible app.

    Order the food, it’s amazing. The app could use some serious work, even with the updates. Horrible user interface, horrible user experience and very confusing throughout the entire process. Clunky and slow. Having ordered multiple times using the app, I still get confused and mess orders up.
  • Harder to use and didn’t work

    My order didn’t go through, and the app no longer remembers me so everything had to be entered again, for nothing.
