Great food. Terrible app
The food here is wonderful. Unfortunately, the app is awful.
In the rare occasion that the app recognizes the Roots location near me, and allows me to place an order, the process of picking it up is convoluted and downright frustrating.
Each time I’ve managed to get an order placed, I find out that it is never ready on time. In fact, the last time I went there, I had to stand there for several minutes until an employee asked me what I ordered. Essentially, it was the equivalent of waiting in line. I would not recommend using the app until they make it more reliable and implement a system in the restaurant that ensures the order is prepared on time. Hard to use?
This app is hard to use and right now doesn’t appear to be working at all. Initially I was successful in using it, especially after reading others’ reviews. I took care selecting my order so that I didn’t have to cancel and start over and all was fine. But now I’m unable to move beyond selecting what city I’m in: it won’t let me choose my Roots location at all and I’m therefore unable to advance to placing an order.Show lessC H Pgh
Food Amazing, App Ok
Your food is fantastic. I crave your salads! The service is very fast. I would like to see the app be a little more user friendly. And if you would pair with grub hub that would be even better!Liz00010.
Good app, one fix
This app works very well, but the order number disappears when you exit out of it. I had to go look at the receipt number in my email to figure out which one was mine. Mildly annoying.CaptKirk8
Love Roots, app is too simple.
I love Roots! But the app is a little too simple. As someone else mentioned, there is no easy way to remove a bowl after adding it. I feel like the design of the app could be upgraded. Would also be nice if it provided updates when the delivery has left the store and is en route. The app works fine, but could definitely be better.Show lesseating beauty
No way to give feedback on completed orders
One problem with this app is that there is no way to give feedback after an order is completed. I had ordered both chicken and mushrooms in my bowl to go on the app and only received mushrooms in it despite paying extra for both. There is no option on the app to dispute this as I did not get what I paid for.Show lessrishabshetty
Great food, app... needs work
Let me start by saying that you should get this app - it’s great to be able to breeze in and grab your food - so much better than waiting in line!
Lots of UI problems here - no order history/reorder button; the app doesn’t remember your name so you have to reenter it every time, when there’s an error (pickup time slot filled) you have to manually click back to the beginning screen, then redo the order.
These issues DO make me worry about credit card security, though - given the other issues, it’s hard to believe there’s nothing wrong there.Show lessPowderhound522
Great food, confusing app
Love the food, but the app is very confusing. Placing multiple orders is very difficult to figure out. And today, I ordered and got a confirmation/order number, but the store had no record of the order when we arrived.Dickm8

Pretty good, but needs work
A difficult interface that isn’t always intuitive. Have had a lot of issues with customizations not “taking.” Really should have an option to keep previous orders for easier ordering in the future.mirv22
