  • Missing One Thing!

    I love Roots! I love that they delivery to my hospital in Virginia! #thankyou. The one thing this app is missing is tracking!!! Sometimes getting off the unit requires timing and if delivery is running a little behind, you can’t tell if it’s 5 minutes away or 15 minutes if you place the order directly via the app. Just wondering if it could be included for the scheduled delivery times of 11a, 1pm and 6pm.

  • App experience

    This was my first my experience ordering from this restaurant. I was extraordinarily frustrated I was forced to download an application instead of being able to talk to somebody on the phone to make my order. Really? You really can’t pick up the phone? You are too busy to answer a call from your customer? You do realize that the customer is what drives your business? You want to make it easy for your customer to order from you. More importantly, you want to make it easy for them to give you money. Since it’s my first time with your restaurant, I’m really hoping that your food is better than your online experience. You really should rethink your business model if you want to expand your business base. Just saying…

  • Great, but open in Short Pump

    I loved the app! Quick and easy! Great how it lets you see all the fixings, and lets you choose how much you want. Would be nice if it let you order delivery... and oh yea, please find a way to get to Short Pump!
  • Thank god I got help

    First time through the app was difficult, but I called and got help. So the second time through was a breeze. Once you know it... The food is great and kindly delivered. Would like a spot on the app to provide a tip, last time I felt bad handing germy money to the driver.
  • Nice but some ordering problems.

    This app is great if you don’t order a custom bowl. However, there are some issues with picking ingredients with the custom bowl. In the store you can ask for half chicken and half mushrooms, but you can’t do that on the app. The app gets the job done but there’s room for improvement when it comes to customizing bowls.

  • It would be nice to talk to someone at the store

    I had a gift card on file with you guys that someone bought for me. The only way to place my order was to use a credit card, which tended the gift card useless. If I could have an option to speak with someone to place the order, I would have been more satisfied. However the app was really nice with all the options displayed

  • No gift card option

    Super annoying that I have to go wait in line at the store because there’s no option to pay with a gift card on their app. also think it’s pretty bad customer service that the restaurant wouldn’t make an exception for me by ordering over the phone and paying in person with the gift card. Made what’s supposed to be an efficient dinner purchase into a total waste of time by downloading the app, taking the time to place my order, having to call the restaurant and then being told I have to come stand in line after all.

  • Great food, decent app

    Overall a good experience, but room for a few improvements. The pickup location screen could be more intuitive. The email and credit card entry would be improved if they leveraged the iOS auto-fill capabilities would reduce onboarding friction. Also, being able to see your past orders or at least your current order number in the app after ordering would be very helpful.

  • I did love it

    I am obsessed with roots, it is SO good. I thoroughly enjoyed that I could order off the app and then go pick it up. Very convenient for me as a college student. But lately it has not let me order from the one near me off the app. I do not know why.
  • Needs some updates

    Update: App is still awful. Actually it got worse. Now I can’t order online. Can’t pull up the location I want to order from.

    Love Roots, but the app needs a few improvements. Tried ordering one of the bowls with some changes and I get an error message when I try and order. Also, once you order, you can’t go back in to the app to pull up the order for details. Although you get an email, it would be nice to have it saved in the app.
