  • Just go to a laundry mat

I was excited to use laundry boss when I moved to my new apartment because I thought it would be a seamless system. Now every time I do laundry I have to expect to lose some money because it just doesn’t want to work. Just this morning, for 1 load of laundry that required 1 machine, I paid the amount of 3 wash cycles across different machines. There’s no way in the app to report problems or submit a payment dispute. If life circumstances were different, I’d opt to go to a laundry mat instead. To make up for it, I will be avoiding any future residences that use this service. It’s not worth the trouble.

I love the app, mostly never having to deal with quarters ever again! But like the other reviewer I have used the App each time but no loyalty points or the ability to track my dryer’s. Please fix these two bugs and it will definitely be 5 stars!
  • Needs a lot of work.

Talks about loyalty, but doesn’t give any points for it. Talks about your wallet but doesn’t let you add money to it. Sometimes you pay for a super wash and it gives you a cold wash ripping you off for $1.75, and the app has no place on it in any form to make a dispute at all. I have a screenshot of what happened and the attendant at my local laundromat was just like, “huh, well that’s strange” with no mention of repaying me the money the app and machine stole from me. I decided to look into the app to find a place so I could show the screenshot of the purchase and they don’t have any options for contacting laundry boss at all.

    Not impressed.
  • This company and app are a scam

I’ve tried to like their setup - their washers and dryers are in our building - but this is by far the laziest, most incompetent design I’ve ever had the displeasure of being forced to use. For starters, the app functionality doesn’t align with the washer functionality. This is a problem because when I make a payment on the app for the washer I’ve chosen, and I haven’t done exactly what it wants, the app “loses” the funds and I get stuck having to pay a second time, and begging the vendor for a refund. This shouldn’t happen - there shouldn’t be a scenario where it’s so easy to pay “the wrong way” (mind you, their instructions are wrong and it isn’t at all what’s needed to make the washer process the payment towards your load) where you essentially lose what you pay if you don’t do exactly what’s required. In short, if you don’t prepare the washer before making the payment (making selections, loading it, etc) AND there’s no random error (I get random door errors despite the door being closed with no issue), it’ll process - otherwise, the app will process the payment, then indicate that the washer wasn’t actually ready, and you’ll get stuck having to make ANOTHER payment while the system fails to refund or hold the originally attempted payment.

As for the app itself, if you can even call it that, I would be reluctant to characterize it as functional. It’s surprising to see it even available for use, much less being touted by the company as some kind of enhancement or feature to getting your clothes washed. It’s very apparent to me that the company is taking advantage of the fact that people need to deal with their washers and dryers, and therefore have no apparent need to optimize the product (or at least ensuring it works). I never bother writing app reviews, but if I can at least motivate one person from steering clear of this awful company, I’ll be happy I had taken the time to write this one.

Takes money and doesn’t start machine and the app has no means of contacting support within the app.
  • Needs a phone number

I’m poor. That’s why I go to a laundromat. I use someone’s old iPhone with WiFi to get some of the conveniences of a modern life. If I had the money for a phone number, I’d have a washer and dryer and wouldn’t need this app. The developer must be a rich person. Get some poor people on your development team.
  • machine not working

I paid for nothing, the washer didn’t work, and there is no way to contact the company
  • Laundry Boss

Works fine. Wish it could send a notification to your phone when the cycle ends tho.
  • GREAT SYSTEM

Went to a new laundromat that had this system and absolutely love it. Very easy to download and pay machines. I could start all my machines at one time and didn’t need any quarters. The App even notified me when my machines were done.
  • Didn’t work

My new washer died and parts are days away. Went to the laundromat in shakopee MN where the machines are controlled by this company. App kept telling me “card add error” with no other guidance. Tried several times, no go. Finally just paid by card at the kiosk.

Now, I gave this company my card details. Deleted card, but no option to delete my account.
