  • More gradual than couch to 5k

    Couch to 5k started beyond my level (that is actually possible) and jumped too much on the second week, so I found myself looking for an in between more gradual approach which brought me to Start Running.
    It gives more of a realistic approach and clear time indications compared with couch to 5k and doesn’t jump up so quick you can’t keep up so you don’t get disheartened.

  • Very easy paced and fun.

    This app makes running much easier by making you pace yourself to further build stamina. The progression of difficulty during the training makes each time easier and more fun. I have been able to keep up with a schedule using this training.
  • Finally!

    I am so happy that I found this app. After years of trying to start running and giving up after a couple tries, this app has finally got me enjoying it. It’s the perfect challenge whereas before I was always trying to go too full on too quickly. I love the countdowns and the reminders, and I can have all that while still listening to my music. Have already recommended it to everybody I know, whether they asked or not😂

  • Music issues

    I have used this app for a couple of weeks. I like someone to direct me however there is no music feature so I just play my music in the background. This morning I could not get both to work at the same time. Once the app
    Spoke it would stop the music. I would restart & it would stop again. I didn’t want to mess up my program so I ran without music. Would rather not just hear my breathing! I didn’t change anything over the weekend so not sure why this happened. Any help would be much appreciated

    Excellent program, helped me get back on my feet again.
  • Slow and steady

    I’m on week 3 and so far it’s been a good build up to longer runs. It means my body is getting used to the new activity and I’m not overdoing it
  • Overweight Runner

    This app makes running possible. It gives those of us who aren’t model sized, who were active when younger, but now have kids, those of us who like food, those who for whatever reason gained weight, those who want to run but felt intimated because of their size. This app offers hope!! Love it!
  • Appy to run with it

    Goes okay. Has been good to build up slowly towards the goal. That said I think some runs should be repeated to embed the fitness level more gradually rather than increasing each time. Advice from a fitness expert or physio would also be good prior to starting so you don’t go too hard and also to avoid injury. Happy to keep using this app to the end of the goal for now.

  • Voice feedback stops when screen is off

    Sometimes there’s no voice feedback if screen is off, I’ve been walking for a long time waiting for it to tell me to run. As soon as I turn on the screen to check, it asks me to run. I’ve timed it a few times to rule out it being a coincidence. Otherwise a good app if leaving the screen on the whole time.

  • Great App!

    I am not a runner at all! And this app has really helped me start this journey the best way possible. I have been able to accomplish all the running intervals and it keeps me motivated. My favorite part is how while you are running they give you 3 seconds of beeps to tell you that you are about to run, about to stop running etc as well as giving you an update of how long you have left, 4 minutes, 3 min, 2 min etc. overall a really great set up!
