Absolute disgrace. Joke of a customer service team. Avoid
Disgusted with their customer service team. While I enjoyed the service because I found it to be cheaper at times than competitors their customer service is not worth the slight discount received. They literally have no phone number to call for support. You have to go through email to get in touch with someone and even then it will take multiple times if ever for someone to respond to you. I left my AirPods in one of the cars. I tried contacting rebel multiple times because I tracked the AirPods and they were in the rebel warehouse where the company charges its cars. After 2 weeks of back and forth someone finally says that they have my AirPods. They ask me for a return label to ship them to me, I create it and send to them and they ghost me after lol. I followed up multiple times and they ghosted me. What kind of service is this? Could you imagine if it were your passport? Phone? A even more valuable item? Understand that they do not care and would not give it back to you. This is why I will use Uber or Lyft because they have good customer service and when I’ve left something behind, those services have made it right with me. Revel is a joke. Don’t use them. There is a reason they offer discounts on their rides, they don’t get service and are desperate for customers.

This app was my worst experience with online taxi
Let me start with my experience, I got to New York City for the first time and I used this app to just go from airport to my hotel. Everything was ok until we got closer to Manhattan and the it was traffic obviously, driver started to driving aggressively and unsafe and just talking to himself saying some stuff which I was scared and anxious, then one of the street was closed, as soon as he realized he need to go from another street, he yelled at me and told me I can walk for 5 minutes and I can get to my hotel. Which was none sense if I wanted to walk 5 minutes with my luggage what was the point of getting taxi. I could’ve used the subway.
I got to the hotel scared and anxious and contacted support and asked them to make sure this is not going happen again and refund my money because this was the worst experience I had in my life with taxi and it didn’t worth it. They didn’t respond and just said if you are eligible for refund we will refund it in 24 hours which they didn’t and closed my tickets. No apology basically nothing. I don’t recommend using this app because of the feeling that I felt on that day and it ruined my whole New York City trip.

First and Only Experience, Horrible Experience
I tried to have my first Revel ride and it never actually happened. I called the Revel and the driver ended up going one street over from where we were. Since we were in a busy city with a bunch of luggage, we called him four times and texted three times with no response. He then cancelled the ride as a “no show”, but for some reason kept looking for us and found us. When I got to him he told me to call the ride again. I asked him why he didn’t answer my calls or texts and he said he never got them, even though his name and heavy accent are on the voicemail greeting. I submitted a request to their customer service texting number for a refund for the $9 cancellation fee and got an automated message that said the MIGHT contact me, but may not. I received a survey in my email two days later asking how I would rate their customer service, even though they did nothing at all. Ridiculously bad experience, and I hope this whole thing was just a one time fluke because the IDEA of an eco friendly rideshare service is a good one.

Issues every time
The idea behind Revel is fantastic, and every driver I have met has been great. However, rides are constantly delayed, drivers are sent to the incorrect address for pin locations and driver numbers are not activated by Revel. While the deals are great when Revel has offers on, I am sad to say that I don’t think the amount of issues are worth it. I’d recommend going with Uber Green instead for an eco- and hassle-free option.

It’s literally just Uber
Advertised it as if it is some revolutionary AirPort Express ride share. But it’s literally the same thing as Uber… and the “40% off” is only up to $10 so it’s effectively useless.
Worst app ever
Driver didn’t even pick us up at our location. App said he was there but he was nowhere to be seen. Called x 2, didn’t pick up, charged us for wait time after the driver cancelled on us (while never even reaching out to try and figure out where we actually were) 😑😑😑

they advertised having 40% off for airport rides but never mentioned 40% off ONLY UP TO $10! this is FALSE ADVERTISING

If I could give this app and company 0 stars I would. They have VERY unresponsive and unprofessional customer service and they do not care about their customers. It took almost a week to get in CONTACT with them regarding my phone I left in the car only for them to try and charge me to return it. When I had called my driver that night, he let his next passengers have my phone their whole trip and both the passengers and the driver were unwilling to give any kind of eta of when he could return it.
They advertise as a “cheaper and more eco friendly” ride share service than Uber or Lyft but the cost difference is only by a dollar or two. I would recommend spending the extra few dollars and go with a company you know will care for their customers and has respect for them if any unfortunate situation occurs. I will not be using this service ever again and have informed everyone I know not to as well.
PS: they definitely pay people to give them high ratings and advertise how great the company is……

Unreliable and self-center customer service.
With Revel since I began experimenting with using the car share program I have had multiple occasions where a car would be offered in a reasonable time when suddenly it cancels shifting the order to another car which far away. Customer service when approached about canceling on a day following the experience met me with the customer is accountable despite them not delivering their delivery of a car in a reasonable time from first advised in the booking. It happened so many time I felt inclined to share this experience and not over look as a one off no more. In one incident the Rebel drive took a route that made since it felt like I was in an Etch a Sketch kids toy going 30 minutes out of the way in loops. Revel said they cannot guarantee a customer is to be satisfied by the route the driver went. However, this beyond satisfaction. It was unprofessional and exploitative of my time with absolutely no accountability.

Unreliable and slow but cheap and fun!
I love using revel. I think their alll electric fleet is cool. I think their drivers are happy. I love that the rides are cheaper by 2x sometimes! I think it’s a cool idea.
However. If you want to get somewhere you have to plan to use revel at least 30 minutes in advance. (Where as Uber or Lyft is mere minutes)
They just don’t have the volume to cater to a city like New York.
Just today I was trying to go from brooklyn to jfk in their rideshare section of the app. I secured a driver and waited 18 minutes for them to arrive at my house (the app mentioned they were short staffed)
I didn’t mind the wait since I’m used to it. However after 18 minutes the driver canceled on me!
So I booked again (this was my last hope for revel ‘cause so had a flight to catch and I can’t wait 18 minutes a pop for a car)
They canceled after 8 minutes.
And just for giggles I booked again and was cancelled after 2 minutes.
Maybe it was a bad day. Maybe I just had bad luck. But revel should at least be as good as Uber on their timing. ( hopefully with scale that will happen)
Seems like gig contractors just work harder with all the competition :/
One day they’ll have more stars. But today is not that day.
