Terrible app, even worse customer service
Terrible interface compared to plethora of security cams on the market. Reaching out to support is a joke. They are never there and if they respond it’s days later with suggestions that don’t help. Am sitting on a $1300 system that doesn’t work and no support. Beyond frustrated.

Should be able to add two users at the same time. That way my husband and I are able to view when we are both at work.Ash050810

App is just ok. You can view the cameras. Very simplistic coding, makes me wonder about how secure it really is. Not user friendly, intuitive nor easy to share with family members.SinCityPhantom
Took sometime to set up app
Watch the videos on YouTube to get a general idea. Follow the set up network videos to add app. After wizard set up of network and after adding device by scanning code to app. Make sure notifications in general app settings are ON for app. (iPhone) then OPEN the App click on the BOTTOM three dots. (Background white) and make sure notifications and push notifications are on. Next press on the camera link to view cameras. You should see you cameras on WITH A BLACK BACKGROUND. now click on the Top three dots on the right. And do the same thing by making sure notifications are on. Giving it three stars cuz the app was a pain. And the red notifications on dvr are still not showing up to view on tv dvr play back. But I got the push notifications and share by email and tex to work. So don’t give up it if I can figure it out you can too.Show lessHailDarkLord
Good system some people are dumb.
I saw most reviews that said they couldn’t get push notifications. These people are evidently technically challenged. You DO have to go set that up in the actual system but I get my notifications just fine. The push notifications in the app itself are just to enable the app to receive them not to turn them on in the system.Show lessNaybird1

4K cameras not working at all when you are on your phone
The camera view on the tv is 4K, but when you access your camera on the app the view is not 4K not even 1080p when you try to look closer at something is very blurry making this app worthless when you are away from home. You can’t see anything. Please try to update this app ASAP with 4K visibility or at least 1080p.Show lessFrancheska19

Took a while to figure out how to push notifications to app, to the defender 4K menu, cameras settings, and the the motion tab, to the right of the box sensor there is a settings this is why you set up notifications to cell phone. Works great for me. No issues!Bang3484
Camreas are great but....
Cameras are great but don’t let this company fool you!! Their systems do NOT, I repeat myself they do NOT have push notifications. Believe all the reviews they do NOT have push notifications for motion. Also customer support is absolutely horrible. I do NOT enjoy texting back and forth with someone that isn't their tech support. If i have an issue i want to TALK with TECH support and not customer service that can’t help me with my problem. This system is going back to Newegg and I'm lucky enough that I didn't install the system but instead did a 48hr bench system run. So repackaging it up will be easy fir me unlike most if their customer that fully install their systems will have to take it all back out which is a pain in the ass and they just opt to just keep it. But for 600 this crap is going back.Show lesstjmcki530
