  • Improved but not 100%

    I was so excited to see in store shopping was available in the new app. We used it this weekend and I was disappointed. Yes it’s easier to add items to my list, the coupons are easier to add, and the aisle location is still there, but that’s it. I don’t like how it’s organized by type because that’s not how my store is laid out. We had to do a lot of doubling back because, for example, cheese isn’t with dairy and ground breakfast sausage isn’t with the ground beef. I know the layout of the store to know this, but when we use the app to help us with the order and check things off top to bottom this isn’t helpful. It would be great to have the option to sort by aisle or by type. Also I would really love the subtotal (even if it’s just an estimate) in the cart total. Finally, it seems I have to delete my whole list or items individually. I admit there may be an easy fix I haven’t found yet but in case there isn’t I wanted to include. In the old app we could tap clear cart and I don’t see anything like that as an option. Not a huge deal but something that would be nice. But this is enough for me to continue to use the old app for now.

  • Lists need to be in order by aisle.

    The list ordering does not make any sense. Things appear to be grouped by category, and those categories are in alphabetical order. Then the items in each category are also in alphabetical order. Who shops like that? The aisles my items are in essentially end up in reverse order, with dairy and frozen food near the top of the list and produce near the bottom.

    Just a simple list in aisle order would be far more useful.

    Also, after adding an item to a list the "Item added" notification covers up the X to close that item's page and return to search. This creates a long delay between adding an item to my list and moving on in the app. The placement of the alert needs to change, and possibly it should just return to search results immediately.

  • Better than the old app, but you can’t share items

    It looks and feels way nicer than the old app, it’s faster, it’s easier to switch which store you’re in at the moment to get which aisle to find an item on, and you can actually see small pictures of the items in your lists.

    But my wife couldn’t remember what specific dog food she was supposed to get, and the new app won’t let me share a link to the item. That definitely needs to get added ASAP!

    Providing a “family” function for sharing shopping lists between users would be great, too. That way we don’t have to literally share a single account and can still have and maintain our own shopping lists together with a shared family list we can both access and update.

  • Finally!

    Everything I wanted out of the HEB app is now available. I’m a frequent curbside shopper so having it in-app is a huge plus. I love that I can choose which store for curbside and in-store. The one closest to my house does not have curbside and the one that does is on my way home from work. So I go to both. The coupons and shopping lists actually work now! I will always be a lifelong customer, but this upgrade really sealed the deal. I’m so pleased! My only suggestion is having the ability to sort our shopping lists by aisle in chronological order rather than just category, for when I do have to shop in store. Makes it easy to get in and out faster. Thank you heb!!! You listen to your shoppers.

  • Getting there!

    I love this app! I’ve become very reliant on it. It helps to cut down my shopping time immensely, especially since there are 3 HEB stores in my area that I switch between depending on what I’m doing in my life that day. I love that you provide the aisle where I can find the product. However, sometimes the system seems to get “caught” between stores and the wrong aisle is showing. I end up having to wander the store to find products.

    I also love the options to purchase “curbside” or “delivery”. It would be nice if these systems were interchangeable with the app. Sometimes, I have the intention of shopping and I make a list in the app, but then time will run away from me and I’ll need to do curbside. As it right now, I have to write down the list that I have in my app. Then re-enter it in to the “curbside side”. Quite a time waster and mare than a little bit frustrating.

    Over all you all are doing a great job with your updates. Just a couple of things for your consideration to make it even better.
