We don’t travel often, but when we do, it’s hard to leave our fur babies at home. We don’t like the idea of kennels only because we are not sure what kind of level of care they’ll get. With Meowtel, we get to leave our fur babies in their natural space at home while having trusted, vetted caregivers come and attend to their needs in a loving way. We have cameras around and throughout the house so we don’t miss them too much on the road, but it also proves that our caregivers deliver the care we expected. Meowtel offers the perfect interface for communication with your caregiver, to receive updates and videos, log the attention your babies get, and review and tip your caregiver! it couldn’t be better!

I have met the best pet parents on this app. I prefer Meowtel over other petsitting apps because they have a minimum price point which keeps everyone fairly paid and doesn’t allow one person to lower the rates. Meowtel is SO interactive and this is the only pet sitting app where you will sit down and be interviewed remotely before being allowed on the platform. Meowtel is the #1 sitting app that I’ve used that goes above and beyond to promote sitter safety and their sitter support is the best. I get to do what I love and make money doing it.

We didn’t want to put our babies in a pet boarding place because we had heard about bad experiences. This way our babies could stay at home in an environment that they all know. Meowtel was very responsive when I had questions and helped sort everything out immediately. I truly wish good things for this app and hope it really takes off! Cats are usually forgotten about and so this made me happy that there is now something for cats only. I had such a great experience with the sitter that we found and cannot wait to use it again! :)

I put down a lot of $$ to reserve a sitter for three overnights but when the sitter messed up and didn’t show up for our “Meet and Greet” two weeks before my trip, I panicked and wondered whether I’d been scammed.
I called Meowtel customer support on a Sunday morning and had to leave a message. But someone named Stephanie called me back within an hour and was extremely supportive and professional. She found me another sitter within three hours of my initial call. Within two days, I met the sitter and everything else was purrfect. I had a great experience and will be a return customer.
Meowtel is more expensive than other pet-sitting options, but if you have special needs kitties and want to enjoy your trip, it’s totally worth it.

As a client looking for someone to come and check on my cats and lamb home, this is the perfect way for me to find a sitter who loves cats and is willing to work with them in their own environment!
Bugs within the app exist. Sometimes there are delays between messages and issues of sending pictures but overall many of these issues are being addressed with each update so I’m optimistic that this will continue to improve. My main source of feedback would be policy wise to the service. It can be difficult for new sitters to get used to the system, and Meowtel only has a three strike policy with no room for recovery. This seems a little shortsighted, because long term business wise, it would be better to continue to improve the performance of existing sitters to maintain a good company experience from the client side while also encouraging sitters to stay with the platform.
Overall I’ve been using the app for a year and am still using it! I’d like to see it continue to grow.

We would like to clarify that we do not in fact have any sort of three strike policy with our sitters, and regularly try to help support them as they build their business in the Meowtel marketplace. We will consider a sitter inactive and remove their listing if they fail to respond to three reservation requests in a row so as to ensure the best experience for clients, but otherwise all decisions regarding sitter statuses are made based on a wholistic review of their account activity and client satisfaction. We left our video cam on because we were so nervous about our cats. Our sitter went above and beyond taking care of our cats and our cats loved her more than they love us! (🥲)
We had previously left our cats with a cat hotel and they were MISERABLE. They looked so sad and defeated and had lost so much weight when we finally picked them up. Don’t do a cat hotel! Instead use this wonderful app / service and minimize the stress your cats feel when you’re gone.
Will forever recommend this service to my friends. Thank you for the stress free vacation.

We look forward to having you with us for a long time!After the most recent major update, the app got _even more_ buggy, less reliable, and generally more frustrating to use as both a pet sitter and pet parent on the app. I have a lot of feedback to offer developers and Meowtel because these updates have significantly impacted the user experience—not just within the app, but changes to things like service zones. To say I’m frustrated is putting it gently. Meowtel didn’t really do its due diligence in making some of these changes, else they would’ve done things differently, I’d imagine. The only reason I’m currently giving two stars instead of one is because the app still kind of works and connects clients and sitters. Sort of. Happy to update my review once the app becomes decently usable again.

The sitters range in experience and price ranges so you can pick who you fill will be most compatible with you and your cats.
I had one of their sitters never show up for a meet and greet. To Meowtel’s credit, the arranged a new sitter with in an hour. The new sitter was amazing. After the incident I saw that the original pet sitter’s profile has been taken down. Not that I want anyone fired but Meowtel has high standards and expectations for the sitters. The incident was not their fault. I will continue using their services and sitters.
