Meowtel is the perfect resource for finding trustworthy cat sitters while you’re away. It eases your mind while you’re away from home to know that your babies are being taken care of. That being said, the app is slow, laggy, and crashes almost every time I try to use it. I’ve had to sit and watch that stupid cat icon spin around for who knows how long, only to have the app crash and make me start all over. The only other complaint I have is the refund process. When you or your sitter cancels a reservation, you do not get your money back. You get a gift card to apply to your next reservation instead. It’s frustrating when the cancelled price is $200 and the new one is $180 and you can’t get that $20 back.

This time they were called out of town and we had two days to find a cat sitter. Meowtel set us up with a fantastic sitter that lived near by. The app is easy to use, provides bio’s on it sitters and makes it simple to match sitters and clients. I heartily endorse Meowtel for your cat sitting needs.
Love that there is a high quality pet-sitting service dedicated specifically to felines, with sitters who are fully vetted and background checked and who specialize in the art of cat-care. The best cat-caregivers possess a combo of skills and traits that cater to cats’ unique sensibilities (including a calm, patient demeanor) with the ability to gain their trust and put both felines and their humans at ease…as a cat-mom, communication is key when I’m away so knowing you can count on updates with pictures / videos during each visit goes a long way. Meowtel sitters are held to a very high standard in order to maintain a 5-star rating, and you can read reviews from each sitter’s previous clients to get an even better sense of the quality of care you can expect to receive. They have a genuine love of felines, are detail-oriented, possess a high level of emotional intelligence and an innate ability to read feline body language and behavioral cues, with years of hands-on experience. Would highly recommend.

Luckily, there was a well-reviewed, highly rated sitter by me who lived up to the positive reviews. I was able to book, pay, and chat through the site, as well as put information about my cats for the sitter to access. Really convenient, and connected me with a fantastic sitter I will definitely use again.
I’m a sitter for Meowtel and I’ve never had a poor experience. Customer service is quick and helpful whenever I need assistance, and the vetting process to become a sitter is better than any other company I’ve seen. The app is sometimes slow to load, but Meowtel notifies all users whenever there is an issue and when there are updates available, so I’m always in the loop!
App is well structured and easy to use, has a nice interface.
The idea of bringing together pet sitters and pet owners is brilliant! I had no problems at all in finding and choosing a sitter for my cats who will take care of them while I am away. IMO this is a great option for those who, like me, do not have friends or relatives nearby. I couldn’t go anywhere for 2 years, from the moment I got cats. Now I know what to do when I decide to go on vacation!
I’ve been able to connect with some great cat sitters using Meowtel. All of our experiences with their sitters have been positive, and I like being able to read the reviews from other clients. The app itself was a little glitchy when it was first launched, but the newer versions seem to have resolved those issues, and they also have a well-designed website with the same functionality. Overall, I’ve been very happy with their services and have had a *much* better experience compared with the previous pet sitting company I used.

The only thing I would suggest is that reservation system needs to be changed. I made 1 reservation for multiple visits throughout 1 month. Then I needed to cancel only 1 visit few days in advance but the system didn’t let me do it, because technically all visits were part of 1 reservation and whole reservation couldn’t be cancelled. So until this system is changed, I suggest to the customers to make separate reservation for each visit, so you don’t loose money if you want to cancel.

I really like how I can have a profile for each of my pets and that payment is collected through the app once the job is complete. And it was nice to see that 100% of the tip went to the sitter! It’s so nice to have that peace of mind that there’s someone reliable so close to home who can look after our cats.
