  • No no nope! Don’t buy it!

    I’ve had my smart bulb for a while now & every so often it would reset itself. I would always be able to add the device again within its app. BUT NOW—no matter what I do I get an error message each time! And that’s if the app doesn’t crash on it’s own during the scanning process. It’s so frustrating—I don’t know what they did with these past updates but it only made matters worse. It’s so dumb and stupid!! I’m currently researching DIFFERENT smart bulb brands to replace this one as I have a pointless bulb that just blinks various colors. And I already watch the troubleshooting videos & tutorial videos. Nothing works!

  • Smart lights bulbs won’t even connect

    Sylvania smart lights and the proper app watched reviews and everything, for some reason cant get them to connect there products are faulty trash and they should reconsider their career. I’ve been trying for weeks to get these bulbs to connect, tried all the right steps and reset steps but they don’t reset, complete waste of time and money.. would not recommend to anybody

  • No documentation

    It is fairly easy to initially set up bulbs. I have eight bulbs and four outlets. When I originally set them up it was easy to group them in logical configurations. For example I grouped all the outlets used for Christmas lightening together and scheduled them to go on and off together. But with advancements to the app I cannot figure out how to create new groupings. I’ve searched the internal help only to find none of the video help works any more. I’ve tried to find details on the bio adaptive settings. Nope. No help there either. Even on the web there is no details anywhere. Now I have a broken setting and I can’t figure out how to add a bulb to that automation. Very frustrating.

  • Wasted 45 Minutes. No Results. No Thank You.

    Tried to update firmware on my Sylvania Flex Strip lights as instructed by HomeKit. The Sylvania app can’t find the device - it has terrible, vague, directions, then asked me to download another Ledvance app which is equally vague and terrible and also failed - then asks me to make an account, wait is it an account with Sylvania or Ledvance or who, I can’t tell? How can I trust whichever company this is when they write terrible software?

  • Good when it works

    Three years ago this was the best app and product. But it’s been a steady decline. I once had 10 bulbs in every room of my house and I’m down to four. They constantly drop offline and I get messages that my super steady internet is bad. I’ll get notes to get closer to my router and always for the lamp that is closest to the router. I comes in phases but the app will ask to connect. How many times do I need to give you permission when three years ago you got it and never asked again?

    Was sold at the dollar store. For a reason. They know it’s garbage.
  • Garbage

    Bought some BLUETOOTH light bulbs.
    Makes you set up an account and agree to a privacy policy, change your router wifi settings to outdated 2.4ghz, connected once in 20 tries where it creates its own second wifi network, demands you connect to that, which it won’t let you do anyway. Huge waste of time. One of the Bluetooth advantages is ease. This is over complicated and simply DOES NOT WORK.

  • Latest Update Ruined

    The last update has ruined the entire setup we have. Groups don’t work anymore, we can’t see the names of our lights because it only shows so many characters, lights seem to flicker randomly, many disconnect randomly, just all around ruined.

    Roll back the last update, go back to the old design! If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!

  • Latest update ruined usefulness

    Latest app update and removal of groups functionality ruined the usefulness of my smart light bulbs. The “automation” function is too convoluted and complicated to simply group all our living room lights together, like I was easily able to do with the last version. Many of our lights now randomly go “offline” which never happened before. I have 11 smart lights in our house that all need to be controlled individually now. Going to have to find another solution, this is garbage.

  • Latest update wiped me out

    Their latest update rendered all my outside bulbs useless other than switched bulbs. I’ve tried to get these things to respond to timed programs but no luck. I’ve had enough of this and there is no more “contact us” type help. They have plenty of “try this” sections but nobody to talk to. Do you find it increasingly hard to get somebody to talk to these days ? Well sylvania is right there leading the pack. I’ll use what’s left as switched bulbs but no more sylvania stuff that works off an app.
