  • After the App Update, Unable to adjust schedules

    I love the smart bulbs. They pair easily and work great. I had set up schedules for roughly a dozen bulbs, and have them set up in three groups, by room.

    I had set up schedules in Spring. Now with the sun setting earlier and clock soon changing, when trying to adjust a schedule start or stop time, I get an error failed - try again. My roommate, who has auto app updates turned off, can still adjust schedules.

    Please fix, then I’ll update this review and give the app the 5 star review it deserves.

  • Completely screwed up a perfect app!

    Before the recent update, you were able to control all the lights in one room (turn on, off, change color) and NOW you can only tap into a room and manage each light individually. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS?! It’s infinitely frustrating. If this doesn’t change back I’m making the switch to Philips, despite the cost and I recommend anyone who reads this does the same.

  • Removed essential Groups feature on recent update

    Removed essential Groups feature on recent update and deleted all of my Groups. If you have 2 or more lamps in a room, you want to turn them on and off with as quick a touch as possible (like flipping a light switch).

    The app updates continue to make it more of a hassle to switch Groups on and off, a feature much more important than granular control over light color and level. It’s not always easiest to use voice control for on and off. May be worth paying more for Philips, if less of a hassle and more reliable.

  • New update is awful

    Putting your lights on a schedule is confusing and clunky. Have had these lights in the same spots for a long time, now new update says the signal is weak. Also the help section is useless. Takes you to video links that don’t work. And if you try to use the help section to chat about a problem, it’s the same response every time, they tell you to call or email. Why have that option to chat in app available if it doesn’t work. The Wiz connected app is way better. More expensive lights but well worth it.

  • Great when it works

    I bought the 4 pack of bulbs and they all have the same issue which is they are constantly going offline. Some of them continue to run on the schedule. But they never go back online on their own. Wouldn’t be a big deal except I got them for my second home which is 1000 miles away so it does me no good when I can’t get there to reset them. Probably wouldn’t bother buying anymore.

  • Reliable and Easy connection. App needs Help!!!!

    Overall, these were easy to set up and stay connected fairly well. But the app needs a ton of help. Please pass this along to the design/development team!!! Need copy and paste ability for bulbs settings in the automation. Need the ability to select the same color among other bulbs rather than try to guess every time setting up a bulb. The bulb color selection process is different in 3 different places, make it consistent! Give me colors to pick from!!! Hope this helps and hope it gets implemented.

  • Aug 17th update

    This app has been good to me for a while now. But since this update came out tonight it knocked all my lightbulbs offline. I had to install the app and reset all the bulbs and make all new scenes. The app isn’t working the same now. The scenes don’t work. Also it says we should have widget support now which I’ve been waiting patiently for but no idea how to get it to work. I go to add a widget but no option for SYLVANIA.

  • New update glitchy and slow

    I had to write a review because I have no idea what they did with the new update. My bulbs were working fine with the previous version of the app and now suddenly the app communication with my bulbs is so slow. I click the button in the app to turn on/off a bulbs and it takes like 3 seconds for the bulbs to respond, in the meantime i keep clicking on off on off because they don’t respond. I don’t know if it’s just the tiny power button for the bulbs in the app and i’m just not clicking dead center or what but before they were very responsive and worked fine. Also sometimes my bulbs randomly go offline now. I don’t know what they did to the firmware for the bulbs but the developer really made the performance worse. Please bring back the order old version of the app. The current app just looks too busy with too much info for the groups section and you might want to recheck the firmware for the Sylvania bulbs because my bulbs are glitching out.

  • Please make group devices available on Home Screen!!!

    I love the app, it’s simple and easy to use. It’s just, for some reason only individual device can be transferred as a Home Screen app. I only use these lights for one room, so it would be make to make group app screens available. I just want to tap one button and go straight to the group device controls. It would be greatly appreciated if y’all were to do.

    Also, can you make it possible for it to be also activated by Siri, I understand fully if you can’t. Apple is weird sometimes:/

  • New app update is better, but still not great

    First off, I like the overall UI improvements to the app, but there are still some weird omissions, inconsistencies, and non-working functions.

    1. The Groups section has been removed, but you can still create groups be starting from the settings of a single device.
    2. The new effects are nice, but you still can’t create custom effects without overwriting the included ones.
    3. You still can’t add effects to routines or scenes.
    4. There are presets for certain color temperatures, but still no Kelvin indicator when setting color temperature of bulbs or groups. In fact, there are no numerical indicators for hue, saturation, or lightness either. Those would help.
    5. You can adjust saturation within the automation section but not within the direct color controls of a single bulb or group.
    6. The bio-adaptive effect doesn’t seem to work at all.
    7. The mysterious Music effect also doesn’t work. (This has been true since it suddenly appeared earlier this year.)
    8. It’s possible we’re all committing user error, but we’d never know, since there are no instructions for using the app.
