We love this app and our Gryphon router!
We are so glad we bought the gryphon router. The Gryphon app allows us to easily set up and manage parental controls for the two 16-year-olds in our house. It was a lifesaver during remote learning and still necessary now. We can block and/ or allow specific sites and apps. We can also see browsing history. Newest update has some issues
If you have this app and updated to the newest version, you lose all the saved “blocked” websites. We had many sites and pages blocked and now they are not there and we don’t have any record of what they were do to the update and you can’t go back to see previous days/weeks. Not the end of the world but not really happy. Just be warned and all the the settings will need to be redone as well. As far as the “blocked” apps. New app update is terrible
The new version of the app released in August 2021 is awful. It’s not user friendly at all. All of my profile schedules are messed up now. It put restrictions on my unrestricted devices. It’s very difficult to change the settings now, and they don’t seem to stick. The last updated messages are awful. One of my profiles has this message under screen time, “Last updated 9 hour 552 minute ago”. Poor grammar of this message aside, this message is useless. This new app version was clearly not tested well. The old app was great. It was reliable and easy to use. I cannot believe it was “upgraded” to this garbage. Screen time remaining doesn’t update correctly
First and secondary admin Screen Time settings are showing inconsistent information
Reward Time added by one admin doesn’t show on the other
Screen time settings set by 1 admin will be reset back to how it was if 2nd admin make any other changes

Great product
The Gryphon router is an excellent all in one solution to have a fast, easy abs reliable WiFi, keep your network locked down and safe, and ensure you have a safe internet for your children.
The hardware has all the features abs this software is easy to use while giving you full control of all devices on your network abs what content you allow access to.

Solid hardware, app improving over time
I have two Gryphon towers in our home and it has eliminated all reception issues I’ve had with major brand routers before. I live the mesh network - things work seamlessly. As a parent, I’ve also had the parental controls a lot. My main complaints at the moment are things I’d like to see appear in the app: logging of the url (not just the host/domain) for sites my kids visit; the ability to allows allow FaceTime and iMessage regardless of time limit. I’d also like to see the app be much speedier in reflecting changes I’ve made to the router (or at least show a working indicator).Show lessAshbychick
Reliable and easy to use
I have had the gryphon for about a year now.
The app is easy to navigate and set up profiles for each device/user, to set screen time, homework time, block all sites without permission.
For my home we have max 7 devices connected as we do not allow excess net time.
Speeds are extremely fast. We have only had one issue with no connection but turned out the net was actually down- nothing to do with the router/app.
One thing I thought was very interesting about this system was that it blocked incoming access to devices such as when a teacher attempted to access chromebook during distance learning.
Teacher would randomly attempt to stream /view child’s screen/camera but was blocked by the router... & I appreciated that very much!
I think the app works very well. I love how I can assign devices to different users/profiles. Homework time helps me with accountability -when the kiddos ask for extra time -reminds me to check their progress before giving reward time.Show lessmonstersix

Gryphon is tackling a tough problem and does a good job at it. After some trial and error we have a setup that is providing protection for our family. The wireless speed is top notch, I easily get the full 500mbps from our ISP when doing a speed test wirelessly from my iPhone.
I was doing some network penetration testing for a client and was pleasantly surprised to see the gryphon alert me that my work computer was conducting a port scan and it offered to quarantine my work machine from the network :)
In the few instances I’ve had a problem I’ve contacted support and they’ve been available immediately. They have been able to resolve my issues, typically by releasing new firmware to our gryphon access points. It surprised me that it’s so easy to talk to real support people who are actually able to fix problems.
I don’t think you will find a better product at this price point. It’s not a perfect solution— as some have noted the app is a little odd but it gets the job done. To get something better I think you’d have to start shelling out cash for business class equipment and that is very expensive and still by no means perfect.
Recommended for anyone trying to protect their children from the ugly side of the Internet.Show lessJoel2k
Fantastic app, beautiful hardware and amazing support
Gryphon is truly the best router I have ever used. I run a small business and have a young family and it is the perfect product for our home. It is stylish, has fantastic features and offers the protection we are looking for.vdogdesigns
