I have nothing but praise for my bank,South State Bank, located in Ormond Beach, FL. They have a variety of locations and it does not matter how much money you have in your accounts, you are treated with utmost respect and it’s ALWAYS an experience that makes me feel better as I walk out . I’ve never had one problem and I’ve been with South State Bank for over 12 years . It feels very good to be appreciated and I am honored to be a South State Bank account holder. I suggest them to everyone who wants to feel secure about their hard earned money and are sick of high monthly bank charges. Go to South State Bank , your needs will be met and your money will increase!!

Good Improvement

I was a Centerstate banker for years and their technology was outdated, upon this new app and transition coming it was flawless. The app was more technologically sound and had better features (FACIAL LOGIN!!!!), however was slow and buggy. Those have been mainly fixed!!! Great job!

Edit: App has been out for quite some time now and has continued to make more improvements with no down-time!

This app is awful!

This app is awful! It’s down all the time. You can never see anything in real time and when you bank using just the app you need it to be reliable. Yes I could go back to paper but then there is no use for the app and that’s hard to do when everything else is online as well. I have thought about changing banks because of this. I have been charged for over-drafting my account when is was because of this crazy app. They had to refund my account several times because of that. So no I do not like this app at all and if it’s not taking care of we are taking our money elsewhere.

Disappointed

I’ve had so many issues since SouthState has came about. Transactions take forever to to hit my account. Some how they don’t put debit charges on my account for days & then all of a sudden I’ll have several charges pending from a week ago. Direct deposits do not go in until later in the day on the day of. It’s the slowest responding bank I believe I’ve ever seen. Be extremely mindful of your charges, how much you spent & when because your account balance will never be correct. You will get slammed with several pending charges you made days ago all at once!!

Too much system maintenance!!

I’ve been with this bank for over 10 years and the larger they grow the more they lose that hometown feeling that I looked for! As far as this app goes they are constantly doing system maintenance which interrupts transaction real time data and more-it’s cause my account to look as I’ve been in the negative thousands of dollars and more. It seems almost twice a month for entire weekends it’s unavailable due to these system maintenance/updates/upgrades. I liked the original app and it worked well!! Stop trying to grow when you can’t get things right and don’t forget where you started-serving smaller communities!!!

3 Loans and the online banking system.

I have now done three loans with SouthState Bank with great success. In doing so, I needed a checking and savings account. After the first month with all loans in action and 30 days of mobile banking under my belt I can say that iss a great experience. Connecting other banks for a full view of my finances, check deposits, easy transfers. Solid bank that works with their customers and also has a great mobile application for ease of use banking.

Confusing app

This app does some things better than the old one, but it’s almost impossible to keep track of your bank balance. Pending debits show up on the app, and then, in the middle of the night, disappear again. It is hard to know where you stand. When the pending charges show up on my account, why can’t they just leave them alone so I can still see them anytime, day or night? This is more than annoying!

App doesn’t always work properly

This banking app nearly never reflects your actual account balance due to the fact that it doesn’t upload each individual debit from each retailer or website. The dates of service are hardly ever correct and I often find debts that were paid many days prior are dated to one of the following days. I addition to the balance not being correct, the app is worked on, or banking system goes down at least once a week and is highly aggravating as well as inconvenient. Yes apps have to update and things must change from time to time but an entire weekend of it being shut down is quite ridiculous. 24 hours should be enough for one week of updating changes. App could be improved but not take days at a time to complete it. Other than that the app is easily maneuverable and consistent with others.

Very Convenient!

I love the South State Bank App. I’m a busy business man so I celebrate the convenience of this app, especially since it provides me the organization that I need. For instance, I love the fact that I can search for one of my regular bills, and the app will not only show be each bill I’ve paid from my account, but calculate how much I’ve spent automatically. I love it.

Fix the face Authenticator

If I don’t close the app out completely the facial Authenticator doesn’t even pop up it just looks like a very generic sign in that sometimes doesn’t work even with the right password. My only complaint is with the sign in system aside from that this system is far better than the old app. Maybe adjust the budget system to edit where certain purchases fall under its not entirely user friendly.
