  • Love Zenni - App a bit hard to use

    I have bought my glasses from Zenni for the last 13 years, and I swear by them. I’ve been super impressed with every single pair of glasses I’ve bought here and the prices simple can’t be beat.

    I love that Zenni is always trying to improve and make features that much more accessible and modern and I really haven’t noticed an increase in their prices as they do so, unheard of for a company. I tell everyone about them.

    This is the first time I’ve seen their app and I’m excited about it but I have a few downers about it. 1: specific styles of glasses aren’t easy to find. You can search by shape, OR color, OR style, but you can’t filter out choices (at least not as far as I can tell) to combine those options and narrow down to what you want like you can on the website. This makes it hard when I’m looking for specific glasses that I want to try on. 2: you can’t upload a new AR try-on photo from the app (again, as far as I can tell). That’s a bummer, because if I have an app for something, I want it to have as many or as least the same key features as the site does, and those two features make it to where I don’t want to use the app. The website is currently the only way I’ll shop on Zenni.

    But I still WILL shop from Zenni and nowhere else! I recommend you do the same.

    Thank you for your review! You should be able to choose style, color, shape, etc all together when browsing frames on the website, not just one at a time. There is also an option to upload a new try on photo on the app. We are so sorry if those were not easy to find and we will definitely pass this feedback on to our team!   • Glitchy

    I’ve used Zenni for a few years. This app needs upgraded. In the filters you can’t set a custom size like you can on the website making it, for me, useless. You can’t access your full account such as the photos used for the try-on feature in order to change the default or delete them. Finally the biggest problem was when I tried to upload my new prescription it first gave me the option to scan it and upload it. It couldn’t save it then that option just disappeared. I tried to manually enter it and at first it wouldn’t save it because it told me it was an “impossible” prescription. SO I called them and the phone rep told me to enter it on their website because the app is “glitchy” with certain features. That worked. Fix it, Zenni. It’s a good idea but needs a lot of help.

  • This really is as good as it gets.

    I’ve been using Zenni for years. I’ve been really satisfied even with their lower end lenses. I mean, $80 for a pair of transitional progressive lenses is unreal. They’re absolutely serviceable and I love them. But you’re not stuck with just budget lenses now. Zenni offers a whole line up of cutting edge options.

    The app is still pretty intuitive even with the myriad of options now available. It takes some finessing to price out all your options, something I wish the app did automatically, but it’s well worth the minimal learning curve.

    I do continue to try the others. And there is one competitor that has a noticeably “better” shopping platform but the price differential isn’t worth it in my book. I keep coming back to Zenni. It offers the best balance of shopping experience, customer service, product, and price.

  • Cute stuff but….

    They give you a price listed under the frames, then demand you to add all this extra stuff you don’t want to. So in reality that’s not the set price you’re paying. Some of the cute cheap stuff isn’t really cheap. They make you add all the other stuff to the frames before you check out or it won’t let you. If I want a cheap pair of glasses without the fancy stuff, you should let people get the frames without the extra garbage added.
  • Not happy

    I ordered my first pair of glasses on this app, waited about 2 weeks for them to come in and then when they came in realized they were not my prescription. I chatted with an agent, who was not very helpful by the way but had to call the next day to get instructions on how to return the glasses. The live agent was even worse, he didn’t listen to what I was trying to say and was talking over me. He definitely needed a lesson in customer service. After my store credit was issued and I went to order my second pair that the app entered a prescription that was not the one I entered on my profile ands I didn’t catch it the first time. When I went to change it it would let me select my saved prescription, I had to enter it manually. It was the live agent though, after all I missed it the first he was just flat out rude. Don’t think I’ll ever use this app or recommend it to my family and friends. Sorry so long
  • So far very bad experience

    I’m a truck driver who normally orders through phone decided to go this route and get new glasses and save money as advertised (but I didn’t really) compared to Dr Tavel first order description through phone didn’t give all necessary details ( my fault for not doing order on a true computer) so I got children size frames I said ok sent back in redid order at home computer second frames sent defective hinge with a screw that isn’t all the way through striped as it won’t go in or come out bad quality control I get that this is a mail service after sending a bunch of pictures (twice) and you can clearly see the issue there still wanting glasses sent back so they can look for themselves as you repackage pay for shipping going and coming And a customer service reading of a teleprompter hearing me but not listening What a mistake should have just payed Dr Tavel got to use insurance less headaches $200 waist of time

  • Horrible customer service

    Update: When I first wrote this review a few days ago I received a response to contact Zenni customer service and that they’d be glad to help. They offered me the same thing that was already done. So absolutely no help at all. Again I will not be returning to shop here again.

    I ordered 2 pairs of glasses. Upon receiving the 1st pair I realized, the fit and the prescription were off so I called to cancel the 2nd pair. They offered me 100 percent store credit or 50 percent refund. This was for a pair of glasses that had been ordered 2 days prior and had yet to be shipped!! I could understand that for the ones I was returning but for something that had not left their warehouse yet? Absolutely do not recommend this service. Highway robbery!
  • Perfect

    Easy, convenient, great value.

    Used to lose or break glasses regularly. I still do but now instead of $450 it costs me $85.

    Great glasses, exceptional value. Has been super helpful and saves me a lot of money. Just keep an extra pair or two around so no worries about broken or lost glasses anymore and the quality is as good as any expensive glasses I’ve ever bought.
  • Website, virtual Tryon, and prescription

    So my review is O2 star because I have been trying the virtual Tryon for over a year. Probably even longer. My face and head are small. Every time I try on a pair of glasses they are so big on my face no matter what I do. I change the size to extra small. I’ve changed the pupillary distance. I’ve had the ophthalmologist change my prescription and put every measurement down that’s needed. I try to iron keep glasses extra small yet still on virtual Try on they are extra large on my face. So then I have to order them and pray that they’re the right size and look OK. So now this time my glasses broke and I’m ordering new ones and it has a sign onto my account It brings me directly to picking glasses and I can’t find a place to go onto my account through the app which is crazy. I can’t tell you how many times I had to start over again this is happened to me many times in the past year that I gave up. It takes me too long to order the glasses then I get onto the payment part and if you mess up there, you have to start all over again it’s very frustrating. If the website was easier to maneuver and I could find the right size, Tryon for glasses and see how they actually look on my face, I wouldn’t get so frustrated. If it didn’t take me two hours to order a pair of glasses I would not get so frustrated. And at this point, I was going to order two pairs but I think I’m just gonna go someplace else near me to order them.

  • Great Products and Prices. And Responsiveness

    Very happy with glasses I have ordered from Zenni but recovering a forgotten password became a 20 minute ordeal. Problem was long delay in getting link to reset password. Checked inbox and spam. Nothing. Waited. Rechecked. Nothing. When I complained about this to Zenni they had a site developer contact me apologizing for my problems and promising to identify the delay problem. I have never had feedback like this. Very pleasing. Real sensitivity to customer service. Always loved their glasses - now love their customer awareness. Great company.
