Don’t fix what isn’t broken
The old app was great, this new one is absolute garbage. It’s like Renpho hired someone new to make an app without looking at the old app to see what people did and didn’t like about it. I’m about to delete this awful app and go back to the old one. Renpho is threatening to take the old app down, when that happens I’ll probably be throwing out my old scale and finding something else… unless that scale is compatible with other apps?? What a shame Renpho, just keep the old app online until you iron out this new one.Show lessSoliloquy Review
Fire your app developers
9/10 times the app won’t load, the times it does load, it freezes on the log in screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, (for some reason, you have to have two!) to no avail. I’ve restarted my phone and tried to reinstall to no avail.
I was able to log my weight for maybe a week, two weeks tops after Christmas, but every time I’ve tried since mid January, I haven’t been able to get the app to load and I’ve lost all of my weight data. Luckily the scale works without the app, but now it just takes weight instead of all of the information advertised, the reason we specifically got the Renpho scale.

How is this an upgrade // deleting
First of all, you need to answer questions before even getting to the value of the app. And the questions are obnoxious. The first question is innocuous, simply probing for the connected health devices I use. The second question is, “my current goals are” and I’m given the option of weight loss, fat loss, shaping diet. None of the above. Can’t i weigh myself without wanting to lose weight? What about gaining muscle or maintaining or gaining weight? These questions were developed in a vacum.
And while you can skip the first question, you cannot skip the second.
I use the app to monitor my body. My metrics are hidden now. You can discern they are attempting to move into diet, nutrition and fitness business model. Sorry guys, you’re too late to the game. Do what you’re good at.Show less327n

The Renpho scale does not sync easily to Apple Health as this company promotes. Their app is horrendous, does not transfer data, and is not user friendly. I should have listened to all the bad reviews that go back a year with the same concerns with their response being “we’ll forward your suggestions on to our technical department” . Doesn’t look like they plan to listen to their customers any time soon. Their customer service is a joke and usually unavailable to speak with anyone. I made three attempts to speak with someone, only getting an answering machine, and finally left a message and email. Their email response was to walk me through the steps of connecting Apple health to their app (as if I was the reason the scale was not connecting properly; although I’ve had an iPhone for over 10yrs and have connected several scales/apps with no issue) and then telling me to provide my app email so they can forward my issue to the Technical department. If you want to return an item, due to their product not functioning as advertised, you may be subject to return shipping and restocking fees. I also purchased their food nutrition scale which is a two star at best. It is not user friendly at all. This company definitely makes my top five worst companies I’ve ordered from and would not recommend to anyone.Show lessFRCS76

I’m so over app developers with the so called updates. It shouldn’t be considered an update until users give it 3+ stars! Anything less should be considered a downgrade. Of course, customer service is unavailable. I knew it would’ve been better to keep bypassing the “upgrade” option. Stupid is as stupid does! I’m just glad that I chose to bypass purchasing another Rhenpho product this past week. Stop trying to copy Apple Health and stick with your own unique product.Show lessReally2021
More like a downgrade..
I was exited to use the new app thinking it was going to be an upgrade, however it was more of a downgrade to me. The user interface went from excellent to poor, it is very confusing and you need to tap many parts of the app to see what you want but it is just a mess.. I am seriously considering in re-selling the scale online just because I hate this app so much.
If I do, I’ll never go back to any product Renpho related. Old app was amazing and gave me lots of motivation to keep on going, I got pregnant and it’s time to get back in shape since I am now 10 months postpartum. So.. imagine my disappointment with this app? If I could I’d give it 0 stars.. it’s worthless…Show lessJbunny06
Easy to use for multiple family members
This is an easy to use program that tracks progress each time you step on the scale. You can see the comparison from previous readings to make sure you’re staying on track. My wife and I are over 50 and I have had a kidney transplant so we are very health conscious. Highly recommend the scale and app.Show lessAddicted to fly guy
App seems fine
I only use the smart scale so not sure about how it incorporates any of the other products Renpho may provide but it the app is fine for my uses.
All of my weight data tracked through the old app was transferred over automatically from my account. Guests without accounts did not transfer.
I do believe they should allow more customization (ie whether to set a goal weight with days remaining or not). For some like myself, having the days remaining allows me to put in an end date of my cutting or bulking cycle and to see how close I got to my goal weight at the end of those cycles. For others, it may demotivate them if they just want to set a goal weight but also have to set a goal date. Just make some adjustments to what you had in your old app and allow more customization and I think it will be fine.Show lessLuciFranklin
Terrible - bring back the old one!
The new app is just awful - looks clunky, but more importantly it won’t automatically sync with either my Apple Watch app or the old app. It’s so annoying to stand on the scale for 5mins each time trying to get it to recognise the scale reading. I just use the old app now, but you’ve plastered that one with huge banners to “upgrade” to the new app. Please remove these & just revert to updating the old one!! It’s super frustrating because the whole point of this device is to use it in conjunction with an app, but the app doesn’t work.Show lessKM_12345

I also upgraded to the new app, why would you conduct an upgrade this way at all? The sheer lack of customer support, grammar, use of the English language and punctuation I find ridiculous. I find the scale itself to be very useful and have valuable data. However, just because the product is good doesn’t always mean the “support” and “development” behind it is as good. I’m sorry to see this because I can also guarantee reviews like this app has and the total lack of valid responses from ”the Developer” -will put people off buying your products. This is a perfect example of lack of testing, feedback and continuous improvement in a development cycle. Very disappointing.Show lessmy2dogezz
