Super Motivating!

I normally never exercise but this has me up and moving. Just yesterday I almost had 7 miles, which is a lot for me! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because for the full version (being able to clock in over 1 mile a day) you have to pay $3.99. Not a bad price, just wish it would have made that clearer. Enjoy walk to Mount Fire (Doom)!

Motivating and fun…

… great app, really enjoying it even if Mr Underhill seems to be taking an Uber to keep ahead!

Hello there Mister HH, Thank you so much for taking the time to review Fantasy Hike! We appreciate it so much. Mr. Underhill is indeed an exceptionally speedy hobbit, which is why we made others who are perhaps more easy to keep up with. Happy hiking and thank you again!

Down with Mr Underhill

I think this app is great, truly. The one mile per day thing seems so ridiculous that in order to actually get anywhere you almost HAVE to spend the $4, which, I got my starbucks free today so I *could* spend the money, but I don’t like feeling like I have to.

Also, as many people have pointed out, Mr Underhill is OP. I’m on day 3, a grand 3 miles from where I started, but Mr Underhill is 60 miles ahead of me?! I feel like the computer competitor should learn your average speed and base its speed off of that.

But those are my only complaints. Otherwise, it’s such a fun concept, and I love seeing my progress (even if it’s a measly 1 mile a day)!

Great and fun way to lose weight!

I was looking for a little motivation to walk and run more, and this app gave me a good and lighthearted reason to. I've enjoyed the interface and getting little updates on my progress, and it's kept me going for a few days in the new year. Worth getting the premium if you want to do more than a mile a day!

Great idea, questionable price

The app is a fantastic idea to get people motivated to get moving. I love that you can select a character that matches your pace and that it also brings on a narrative. What keeps me from giving it five stars though is the $3.99 price tag to simply..track more steps? The max for free as far as I can see is 1 mile a day. The iPhone already tracks my steps for free, I don’t see why I need to spend $4 to have a feature implemented that’s already in my phone to begin with. I’d maybe pay if it was $1 just so I’d be able to keep up with the character you’re “racing” with but personally I don’t really mind if they’re ahead of me or not.

Hello there, Thank you so much for taking the time to review Fantasy Hike. We're delighted to take note of your feedback. Happy hiking!

:)))))

I’ve never even read or watched the lord of the rings or hobbit or anything (which is kind of an impressive avoidance, since I live in NZ) but this app has such a nice layout and pretty graphics, and it actually motivated me to go for a run today because I wanted to get started using it! I immediately made the one-time purchase, and I think it’s well worth it.

Hello jelliedbean, Thank you so much for taking the time to review Fantasy Hike. We're absolutely delighted to hear you are enjoying the app! Happy hiking!

Exactly what I’ve been looking for!

I have been listening to the Fellowship audiobook while walking and was always curious if I could walk the distance to Mordor and this app is exactly what I needed! $4 purchase to do more than a mile a day was an easy yes for me.

Seems new so I’m sure features will be added, but I would love to be able to add friends as “challengers” like Mr Underhill to compare distance. I would also love to have a more interactive map that I can zoom in and click on places and see how far away I am.

Can’t wait to see this app get more downloads, thank you for such a fun app!

Fantastic walking/activity app

I saw someone review this on TikTok (@hollyauna) and immediately went to check it out, purchasing the full version pretty quickly.

I love the visuals, descriptions, how easily it fits into my routine with apple products, and the overall design of the app.

Once I finish this journey, I’ll be looking for another themed fitness app, so if the developers make another one I’d look into that also.

Please add this to the Google Play Store

Typically I would give this application a 5 star review. However, the application is not available on the Google play store. Now you may be asking why do I care if it is on the google play store? To answer your question I wish my boyfriend was able to download the app so that I can absolutely destroy him in distance walked because he’s a dumb man who drives a lot. In seriousness please make this available to potato phones.

Cute idea but disappointed on the daily limit

I found this idea amazing and so cute when I’ve discovered it, LOTR is one of my favourite things ever, so I was so thrilled when I downloaded it. But I find ridiculous the fact that you have to buy the premium version to keep track of all the steps in a day. The other day I’ve put feet outside the house and after 15 minutes I’ve reached my daily free limit, it was really NOTHING. And I wfh so I don’t even walk that much during the day. Not sure why I should pay for something that at the end of the day just read the steps from my health app 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hello AnnaritaS, Thank you so much for taking the time to review Fantasy Hike. We're sorry to hear the demo version wasn't up to your standards. It's mainly for users to make sure the one-time payment is worth it for them. Happy hiking!
