  • Convenient + Bang for your buck

I’ve been doing SBD for almost 2 years now, so when the app was introduced I was happy to ditch the web accessible version and use the new app. It is extremely convenient and no need to keep logging in to access my account. All my data pertaining to my workouts is kept on there after every completed workout. I’m also able to see my progression over time in my main lifts (squat, bench and deadlift) via the Stats tab. Great price point! It did crash a bit in the beginning but the app is fairly better now. I wish we were somehow able to have access to the weeks prior workouts. New workouts for the week are uploaded on Sunday evening so the prior week disappears after the new week is uploaded. Excited to see how this app changes over time.

  • Big fan

I’ve used several different apps from personal trainers, and this one is my favorite by far.
Meg’s workouts are challenging, and having the option for substitutions to scale things for my own personal needs is really helpful.

I’ve always gone into the gym and just guessed what my last weight I used was, so I never realllly knew what my max was or if I was making progress. Being told what I’ve done and what i should be doing on sets helps me stay focused on lifting instead of math. Which is good for everyone! I also love the option to have home workouts as well, because sometimes when you have a toddler getting to the gym doesn’t happen as much as you’d like

Overall, there isn’t another app or program of this quality out there for the price, I’m incredibly happy with it.

  • A game-changer!!

I came to this app from another workout program app that was less than satisfactory for me. I had purchased Megs prenatal and postpartum plans during pregnancy, but now that I am nearing a year since I gave birth, I am really excited to be back to lifting. This app makes everything so simple, yet it is so useful for tracking your stats and giving a good quality, FUNCTIONAL workout!! I love all of the features, from the “substitutions”, to choosing if you want to include a warmup/conditioning workout, to the way we track the data and ALL of the options to truly customize the experience, it is just amazing! I don’t think I will ever purchase another program besides Meg’s again… it is next level!!

  • Very helpful with structuring gym time

After working out on my own for a while, I really appreciate the structure of having this program. Picking up barbells and dumbbells that I never would have used on my own. Every single exercise, macro/meso cycles, etc are in a specific order for a reason and calculated to train the same muscles for growth. Also different cycles help to switch up so it doesn’t get boring. They’re constantly trying to make it better and I appreciate the new conditioning option. The warmups also were nice when I was just starting with the new routine. Regardless of the few logouts, not saved workouts, etc the help outweighs that. I’m also local and have to say the team behind what you’re using is super friendly and just nice people!

  • Great App — Great Program!

I’ve been running Stronger By The Day since around February, and I love it! Since I started, I’ve exclusively used the SBTD app to record my workouts and track my progress. I’ve seen a lot of improvements in minor bug issues over the last few months and rarely have any issues now. I love having the exercise explanation, visual demo, and substations all in the same place. It makes everything pretty seamless for me, and it’s great having an app that calculates the suggested weights for me, based on the prescribed percentage of my training max. Highly recommend!

  • Definitely not a cookie cutter program!

I love the program and I love the app. Since they brought the app out the have been on top of their game, fixing bugs, listening to feedback and making it more user friendly. I cannot imagine going back to a different program now!

The program has 4 day split of upper and lower body plus a bonus day (they’ve just added conditioning as an option, too!). Whilst you could look at it and think “yeah this is easy,” you’d be easily mistaken. Meg and her team put so much effort into the programming and it really shows they care about their members. This is definitely not another cookie cutter program! I’ve never made so much progress in my lifts in such little time

  • Could be good, errors a lot

The functionality concept of this app is awesome in my opinion. I love the interface, but train heroic is much more reliable (that’s just what I was using before personally). This app errors and doesn’t save my weights multiple times a week. If they can actually get it to function the way it’s supposed to I think it would be great.

Background-I’ve been using it for a few months. Hasn’t really gotten better. Currently it’s struggling to save a workout and I’m on Wi-Fi. I’m going to end up scratching the workout and without saving the data, numbers are skewed and functionality is lost. I will say I complained a while ago and they answered quickly but it wasn’t resolved immediately or anything.

  • Incredible program and intuitive app

The program itself is amazing - I love that you jump into each week as it rolls on, and that the focus changes slowly throughout the year. It’s a great balance between good consistent workouts that give you results and novelty/exploration of different strength skills.

The app itself has also come a long way. I applaud the team for developing it in-house. The interface is intuitive and things like substituting exercises or changing an exercise from reps to duration are really easy. The videos are also really handy.

My only suggestion at this stage would be to make it work more easily offline, as lots of gyms in my area (London) are underground and have no signal or bad Wi-Fi. But otherwise I think it’s a great app that works very well.

  • Unuseable

Whilst the content might be great the app is extremely frustrating, often crashing or losing workouts completely. What’s the point in recording all your data if it’s regularly lost. Way below what I would expect for a $10 a month app.
  • Great for learning how to train!

I’m new to the app and so far I love it. It’s so wonderful to have a woman-run program showing you exercises that aren’t geared towards just looking hot at the gym 🙄 also fun to see a fellow redhead!

As someone new to weightlifting, it would be awesome to have the exercises linked to the descriptions that re currently under the resources tab. That way I could just tap a listed exercise to learn what it is without having to search through the long list on a separate page. I know it’s a new app and there’s a lot to figure out with coding, but it would be really helpful! :) That said, the descriptions of the exercises with the looping gifs is really great- all the pertinent info is in the description. Thank you!
