    For 2 days it says upgrade new version of app needed to properly use app. It doesn’t seem to auto upgrade and no way to manually upgrade. What the heck. Also for 2 days the photo taking or uploading a photo into your account feature isn’t working properly at all. Do better!!!! Please

    A few days later the update feature finally showed up and allowed a proper update to the app.

  • Won’t let me update app

    I have retired for a week to update this app. I have a button on screen but when I tap it, I takes me to the App Store but doesn’t allow the update. I’m using old version until it allows the update. I’m using my phone.

  • Terrible App

    I had no issues when I first downloaded this app and my loved one was incarcerated. This time around it has been nothing but a problem.
    I can schedule a visit but not actually log in to conduct the visit. I can no longer log in at all. I’ve reset my password to meet the standards that they demand and it tells me there is an error. I’ve contacted customer support and they simply said we have to submit a ticket due to you being upset and I can’t help you. Needless to say I am still unable to communicate with my loved one unless they call me. And well once my money runs out I won’t be able to log in and add funds due to the glitch in their app.

  • Grateful

    I’m so grateful that there’s an app in which I can communicate with my son who is in jail. I wish they would have this in the prisons. I don’t know what they have. The only complaint I have is that I often cannot video consistently and my son would really love me to videotape our cats, I often videotape and it will not go through so that is my only complaint. I hope they fix this. I’m not able to update this app either. But I so appreciate that we have this app. It is a blessing.

  • Almost never works

    This thing is pathetic. When it works it’s great. The prices are absurd especially for the 200 character limit per message but what doesn’t cost an absurd amount when you have a family member in jail? 🙄🙄🙄 I think this thing might work MAYBE 20% of the time, but that’s probably being generous. I close it, relaunch. Nothing. Try turning off wifi and just use cellular, nope. Try the reverse, nope. I’ve even deleted and redownload, nope. My daughters case has active hearings going on over the weeks NOW and i can’t send her messages for when to call me about things or send her contact info for other people to call. Please, PLEASE y’all. Fix this. Or at least lower that price or extend what i can say for 25 freakin cents.

  • Good app on iPhone

    The act of going through an update shows NCIC is working to be better, so I will be positive. The NCIC app is a fantastic tool for families wanting to stay connected with their incarcerated loved ones. It does have its bugs, like logging me out for no reason.

    The mission to bridge the gap and maintain relationships despite the physical distance is truly commendable. The ability to text, share pictures, and video chat brings a much-needed sense of normalcy and connection. I'm under no disillusionment and know LEO is the largest consumer of the data generated from this app.

    However, I do have a couple of suggestions for improvement. The price per message feels a bit steep, especially considering the 200 character limit. Doubling the amount of characters per text would add great value if lowering the price isn't feasible. Additionally, expanding the selection of GIFs would add a fun, expressive element to our conversations. A lot of families using this app, are struggling financially. Having a number of free GIFs per day would be nice. A lot can be said with a GIF if the selection is broad.

    Perhaps one day, we might be able to play small games like chess, battleship or billiards. Overall, the NCIC app is a vital resource for staying in touch with loved ones and strengthening family bonds. This can not be overstated. Keep up the good work!

  • App Creators Lazy & Selfish

    This app is absolutely despicable. It’s clearly cheaply made for selfish reasons. It’s punishing families everywhere.

    Problems:

    glitches can’t use saved password.

    no way to transfer funds.

    no refunds for the app glitching out.

    no refunds period.

    and no clear directions, which is clearly another scam.

    notifications just are there, NEVER go away and no way to see what they are.

    streaming is so trash, it’s easier to make a phone call instead of video.

    not compatible with devices.

    visitation times are often wrong.

    no info on time differences either.

    no specifications on how to add money to individual- (you can’t use the app you have to use the website) -but why would they bother to tell you that?

    The children and families of inmates, as well as the inmates, deserve better.

  • Error invalid credentials

    This app logs me out and haves me reset my password only to have a error message saying invalid credentials and I have reset my password multiple times only to get the same error message
