  • Nothing will sync right! Every record needs to be edited and then it doesn’t stick.

Editing categories and typs not syncing across all devices and the cloud. I delete some categories and they come back and then multiply. Each device has a different list. I edit records and the number of records is different on all devices. Deck top shows many more records including samples but they don’t show up on devices. Mac and iOS is what I use . Been a life time user for many many years no problems. Got over 300 records and don’t want to change apps now! What’s wrong?

  • Terrible

Compared to Splashid8 it sucks. U/i is not intuitive, doesn’t update passwords, sync is buggy. Just another case of fixing something that didn’t need fixing it and making it worse in the process.
  • Logging out stopped working

Please fix the lock your app functionality. It is broken.
  • Still missing some key functionalityfrom SplashID 8

It works well and I like the wifi sync option to keep passwords off the cloud yet keep all devices synced. I love this feature in Splash ID 8 and have been using this app for years.

However V9 is missing the ability to put spaces in it's own password and touch / face id is not yet in place on the desktop version which simply slows everything down and since passwords are needed very often these days.

Wifi sync does not appear to be functioning very well either which is very frustrating.

Add & fix these pieces and I'll be a happy 5 star bunny. Until then I'm sticking with v8.

  • Very, very slow and laggy

    I’ve used SplashID for years.
Previous versions have been slow and laggy, but this latest version is EXTREMELY Slow and Laggy!

I need quick access to passwords when I need them for access codes at work, I don’t have time to wait for 2 to 4 minutes for SplashID to access and verify that my data is mine on my device.

If future version don’t improve I’ll be leaving SplashID behind in favour of other password apps!

  • No support

I have been using SplashID 8 for years. I liked it, but it has glitches. When I tried to migrate to Splash ID 9, there were issues with the servers and the migration failed. I have been trying to get support for the issue for three weeks. Manual migration ended up with corrupt entries. The only correspondence was to tell me that they are busy.

However, they are not too busy to send constant emails about gifting subscriptions to other people.

It is a shame because I think this app has potential.

  • SplashID is not as good as it used to be

I've used SplashID for many years, starting with my PalmPilot, then my Blackberry, and of course my Windows-based computers. Now I have it on my iPhone and iPad.
I preferred the V8 interface, but it had issues where I could not log into the system, and the SplashID helpdesk is worthless.
I upgraded to V9 just so I could log into my data, and it worked for a while until I paid for the lifetime license. All that accomplished was my license was downgraded to the freeware version.
I've written at least a half dozen emails, and even reached out to the CEO on LinkedIn, but I never get a response.
Once I can make a backup of my data I'm switching to another app. I hear good things about Bitwarden. Just accept that there is no customer service at SplashID—None!

  • Thanks for the update!

After a little bit of a rocky start to pro 9, I must say thank you for fixing my complaints with the I initial rev!
  • App is not stable lost all records

I am a SplashID user for 8 years. I have recently upgraded from version 8 to pro 9 on the desktop. When I then tried to sync to my iPad, the app froze. Now I have lost all of my records and they won’t recover from backups. This version is not stable and would not recommend upgrading yet until bugs are fixed!

  • Know your customer

Been a (local) since the early days of the Palm Pilot, Blackberry and then onto the iPhone. Local sync user the entire time. I realize the world has moved cloud and doing their best to convince me that my data is safer there than open to the susceptibilities of my local machine. Don't care. And by the way guys, that space is getting really crowded with people who are verly likely WAY better at it than you are. Stcik to the local option sicne you are, as far as I can tell, the only one offerring it. Make it an amazing experience versus what it is today. Horrible. Constant hanging/freezing, completely delteling all records from both devices after crash. Basically apalling. If you can't get local sorted out, likely going to pivot to someone else. If anyone would like several lifetime licenses . . . I still have a few of the hundreds I've purchased and gifted over the years. Can no longer recommend SplashId - v9 was the last nail.
