    Good and reliable app!
  • Needs work with Siri

    Due to the app name, Siri doesn’t recognise “open Air New Zealand” as valid; she opens ANZ banking app instead.

    Open “AirNZ” is a highly problematic short name ; AirEnnzee? Airennsched? Airenzed?

    Suggest working with Apple to add a recognised long name to the app so Siri knows that open Air New Zealand is this app.

    Radio New Zealand is in the same boat so you’re not alone.

    I really like all the features of the app. I am to able to look at flights and book with ease .i like the airline as it cultural sensitive.
  • Koru Lounge access

    Very disappointed that the Auckland lounge in the international terminal is closed tonight. I understand when overseas lounges are closed. But the website is misleading and I could have called into the domestic lounge to grab a bite, a shower and used the wifi before walking over from my flight originating in CHC.

    Please do a better job communicating. It makes these long haul journeys much easier.

    Great app. Wish i could add my air point card into the Apple wallet like every other airline app allows.
  • Awful handling of transit passengers from the US

    For some inexplicable reasons, AirNZ forces transcontinental travellers to purchase separate tickets which include AKL as the only transit point, while explicitly disallowing those who purchase such tickets from boarding in North American departure points such as LAX. If this is it, the travellers would have no complaints... However, ther are further confusing and otherwise contradicting communications being circulated via internet “word of mouth”, purportedly from some sub-branch of AirNZ reservations department. The bottomline is AirNZ has done a woeful job in communicating a clear and consistent message to travellers via a uniform customer-facing channel. The refusal to let passengers who have been forced by AirNZ to buu two separate tickets for the same itinerary is particularly baffling, especially given NZ government’s granting of transit visa regardless of the number of tickets present for the transit flight via AKL.

  • My Air New Zealand experience

    While my flight was not bad and I would typically have given a 5 star review I was very disappointed to learned that my husband and I had each been charged almost $500 American dollars each for changing our flight. We were in New Zealand on a dream vacation when our travel agent notified us that Air New Zealand was canceling many flights due to corona virus and he recommended we return home right away. We agreed to return and he changed our flights accordingly. Shame on you Air New Zealand- there should not have been such a hefty charge based on the ongoing worldwide crisis!

  • No way to make contact - useless

    Why have an ap that does not allow contact with the Airline, especially when all phone lines are busy.
  • Turned their phones off in a pandemic

    Tried for 2 days to talk to someone about my travel. All theirs numbers just click off. This is their national career. Outrageously unprofessional.
  • If I could give a zero rating I would

    App was previously working OK, at least to display my flight information. For some reason it is completely broken now, even after I went through the tedious process of signing it into something called “airports”. Also tried repeatedly to enter my booking manually, using “booking reference #”. Got repeated error messages. Hey, team, what happened to this app?
