Accounts are not able to refresh in the app so it’s always behind. Have to use desktop almost 100% of the time :(alyshakt
Very clever bit of kit
My accountant made me sign up to this software and already it’s saved me over £1000.
I’m not to great on computers and when it comes calculating tax, CIS, and VAT returns it’s a complete drain on my time and resources. I have admittedly spent a few hours setting this all up but no more time than doing the VAT return, but now I can honestly say I’m flying with it. My accountant is impressed and XERO has on its stats in the dashboard says I’m up 137% on last month plus XERO had noticed that a customer who I thought had paid in full hadn’t paid an invoice I thought I had handed over but failed to give them!!!
Now I can email invoices straight from the software with a notification when the customer reads the invoice!
So all in all fantastic bit if kit but my only negative comment is the fact the bank stream needs to be updated by the accountant?Show less427garry

With regards to the bank feeds, depending on your bank, these can be set-up to be automatic, but unfortunately some banks don't currently offer this to Xero users. Check out the list of banks on Xero Central (search Bank Feeds) or ask your accountant.Service is great, app not so much
Why can’t I send a receipt from the app while I’m away from the office? If I mark an I novice as paid I should immediately be able to send a receipt with one click. Can we please add this basic feature?Sal139

A good helper for daily management
It solves most of day-to-day accounting tasks for a small business. I use the app most of the day unless I have something that has to be done more comfortably on desktop. A mobile app is handy and easy to use. Great work! I would love to see more functionality enabled on the app in the future.mushi_sushi

For such a big company, why is the app so limited? You’re not a small startup you have no excuse to offer such a limited app.
You can generate invoices, but it’s impossible to search for them and edit them. Basic features I would expect.Aron703
Good for adding receipts but not much else
Why can’t I run reports in the app? Let me run a cash flow, income statement and balance sheet from the app! I don’t need every single report but as a business owner I’d like to be able to pull up my financials at least.beley

Great accounting tool but lackluster app
As an accounting system, our team likes using xero after recently replacing Quickbooks. This app however is pretty minimal in its functionality. I have all the apps for whatever tools we use, except for this one. Dear developers, please create an app that we can use to actually get stuff done.Magoosh92836
Xero Triples subscription cost with no warning
Xero announced that it is removing the core feature of being able to reimburse yourself or your employees for business expenses unless you pay and extra $5 PER PERSON per month. The $30/month subscription is quickly dwarfed by this cost if you have even a small number of employees.Lyle Barrere
