  • Which app?

    So, I can’t access Bill Pay on my iPhone 15 iOS 17. It just spins. I can see my check register however. Not good when on travel. I have latest version of the Global CU for Business app. I just noticed that there is also a Global CU app as well in the App store? I updated from AlaskaUSA when it changed, and there was only one at the time. I have the same Global CU for Business app on my iPad and Bill Pay works fine. My question is, which app should I be using? Hopefully one of them isn’t a scam. The Global CU app appears to be the most recently updated. Please advise.

  • Not Alaska USA.

    They did not protect my account from from Apple App Store’s fraud. So l’m done with Global. Not putting another penny into this credit union. And what’s with the constant push to get us to buy insurance? Trying to lock us in to their new “system”? Yeah l figured that out pretty quick. Well there’s no one l want to leave insurance money too. That only encourages people close to you too possibly help you leave this world faster so they can get the insurance money. No thanks. The only thing good l can say is that this is the first honestly rated app in Apple App Store. You’ve been warned, proceed at your own risk but know this, THIS CREDIT UNION WILL NOT PROTECT YOU FROM FRAUD LIKE ALASKA USA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION DID! Loose this financial institution like a bad habit or learn to love being screwed over by them.

  • Simple is better

    I presently much prefer this app to the other one that was recently released. I have access to more actual features on this app than I do the other one.
    The only problem I have is that Touch ID will break if I log in with it then immediately go to Home Screen before I do anything, and it takes several iterations of deleting the device from Biometric ID and redoing it before it starts using it again.

  • Lost it’s appeal.

    I really loved the old Alaska USA. But I said I would give Global a chance because basically Alaska USA was taking over Global and it’s name BUT NOTHING WOULD CHANGE. That’s what I was told. Lot’s of things have changed, especially the curtesy and respect on the phone when you call them. I just don’t have the confidence I once had so I’m not sure how much longer I’ll stay with them. I get why they did what they did, the last thing any country want’s to do is not pay their military, so by merging they will survive the coming collapse. But don’t tell your loyal members who have been with you for decades that nothing will change when obviously it has. I always felt my money was safe and was proud to be a member of this credit union. I’m not feeling that anymore. We’ll see what happens I guess.

  • App Violates ADA laws

    This app deliberately targets disabled customers demanding we TEXT during login. Alaska USA FCU has done nothing to provide “reasonable accommodation” during login to their disabled clients. They’ve been asked to create a way we can opt out of this unnecessary texting someone’s phone number when we’re trying to login on this app. They’ve done nothing to resolve their violation of ADA laws since they were notified they’re violating Federal laws, bc denying access to disabled people. It shouldn’t take more than 24 hours to rectify software programming that violates ADA laws as all USA businesses are required to comply with FEDERAL ADA LAWS!

    Healthy people have no clue that their not thinking clearly when they put egregious demands on disabled people-like their unrealistic expectation that TEXTING is EASY for EVERYONE! It’s a sign they are NOT THINKING CLEARLY about what they’re DEMANDING of others.

  • Needs to be Updated for the 21st Century

    This app worked well when it first came out but hasn’t been updated for a very long time. Glitches galore on the remote deposit portion which worked well when it came out but now does not read the check, the manual capture is sketchy. I guess they (AKUSA FCU) are too busy with their Global conversion that they forgot this app.

  • Okay but needs improvement

    The app works for balance statements, transfers, normal banking stuff. It doesn’t allow for bill pay, which you have to goto a website for. Also, recently the apple stopped recognizing fingerprints, and makes me go through a two step verification for every login. So if those bugs could be fixed that would be awesome.

    Update a week later: dropping to two stars. Still doesn’t recognize fingerprint ID, and it’s getting easier to login on a browser, and deal with having to zoom in on everything than the two step process for the app.

  • Works but barely

    By far the worst finance mobile app I have ever used. It’s extremely slow, Face ID login does not work reliably and I often have to fully close and reopen the app once or twice in order for it to use Face ID instead of showing me the “enter user ID” screen. Also, it still refers to all biometric authentication as “Touch ID” despite the iPhone X and Face ID having been around for over five years now. Finally, there are no push notifications of any kind.

  • Glitchy Remote Deposit Wild Camera

    Today I tried a remote deposit in good light with my desk lamp which has worked well in the past. The Remote Deposit screen shows a double overwrite logo of AlaskaUSA at the top and “Remote Deposit” header intermingled in the text. Something is glitchy here with the app headers and graphics.

    Worse, when I tried to do the photo steps of the check to deposit, the camera was inverted and the center point dot was going wild and off control. It took me 6 tries to get it right. Holding the phone camera way off to the left of the check has it “centered” somehow. Something is not right with the app, so I’ll uninstall and try to reinstall the app. This is the first time I’ve seen this issue.

  • Not up to date nor accommodating

    Face ID does not work on the app properly. It constantly scans my face and does not open my account. The app hasn’t been updated in years. If this credit union hopes and intends to accommodate those who choose to keep their money here, they should spend more time on this user interface rather than ignore this problem. This app not being updated or with the times can and will lead users of this credit union to transfer or cancel their accounts to find a better mobile accommodation from a different banking or credit union service.
