  • Paulette’s review

I have tapped into thus app since day 1, which was 3 years snd 5 months ago $35,000 not spent on cigarettes! And I was a heavy smoker never tried to give up b4 this was my first time.. so no idea what my will power was like.. and I would NOT of been able to do it without this life saver... it gave me hope, I took it day by day, never looked beyond each day till about a month, then I went week by week.. I am so surprised I was able to conquer this horrible habit/addiction, and my family still can’t believe how I have come so far.. believe it or not, since giving up I’m extremely LESS stressed🤷🏽‍♀️, yep another surprise as when ur feeling up right and want to relax, where did we go?? Yep to the cigarettes to wind down🤷🏽‍♀️weird I know.. I’m thinking it was the continuous toxins in our cigs that created or helped create our anxiety ect.. but now nothing g holding me back! Best thing I did and financially a lot more comfortable.. do it! U won’t regret it.. biggest waste of money around!!

  • Success!

I’m 24 days smoke-free, something that didn’t seem possible even 2 months ago. I’d been smoking for over 20yrs with many quit attempts.
This time I went cold-turkey, which I now think is the best way ... get the nicotine out ASAP and begin your new life.
The app is so helpful, from counting the days smoke-free to the activities to keep you goal-focused, it really made a difference. The health progression section really kept me going through cravings, it was a game I had to win!
    Thanks so much!

  • Really helpful app

Being able to see the positive effects of quitting smoking has on your body as the days/weeks/months/years go by is a brilliant feature. It has made me very determined to reach the next step (which for me is immunity and lung function improved). I also like how you are able to see how much money you have saved, how many days of life you have regained, how many cigarettes you haven’t smoked. Seeing the figures go up has made me not want to give up as I would be straight back to square one if I do. It’s like saving money you get more determined as it goes up and that’s exactly how this app has made me. 1 month smoke free now and the thought of having a cigarette repulses me! I also like how you receive certificates and praise! A lot of people don’t realise how hard quitting smoking really is and so when I received my first certificate I was so pleased!

  • Great app

I’ve really found this app helpful. Living by myself it can be difficult to destroy old patterns because you don’t have anyone to help keep you on track, and this has been especially hard during the covid pandemic. But it does really help to have something that reminds you constantly why you want to quit, and checks up on you to make sure you’re keeping promises to yourself. I know it’s a bot and no one is actually keeping an eye on me, but somehow I don’t want to disappoint it. It’s really cool that it gives you real-time information on how your body is improving each day that you don’t smoke, it gives you something to look forward to. And you know if you just take it a day at a time, rather than worrying about the far future, your goals seem a lot more obtainable. I’m only on day 11 but I’m hopeful for my recovery.

  • Thank you 🙏

I love this app. I quit smoking 5 days ago and this app has been helping me stay on track. It shows me how many days/hours/minutes I’m into my journey, all the health benefits, money saved, and has a diary to track my cravings. The free version is great but I’m paying a little extra for even more support. I get daily check ins, and given little missions to complete. Couldn’t rave about it enough.
Thank you smoke free. You’re helping to save my life and I’m sure many others 💗💗💗

  • 3 years 2 months & 16 days...

I smoked from the time I was 14 until 45. I had two successful quits prior for a couple of years each before starting again. The biggest impact this app has for me is that I can see my progress and the numbers are truly astonishing.
I went about 5 days when I first started the app, but then had a couple cigarettes one day and had to reset my progress. That was an awful feeling and I swore I wouldn’t put myself through that again! I completed some of the missions and tracked cravings in the beginning, but soon realized being able to see the progress was all I needed to stay on task.
When I see the number of cigarettes I *haven’t* smoked now, all I can think about is sitting down at a table with those cigs on it and having to smoke them all - it makes me feel ill! As of today it would take me about 75 days to complete that task 🤢
In just over 3 years, I have not smoked 21,000+ cigarettes, saving nearly $5300 and I’ve regained close to a year of my life!
I don’t open the app often now as I rarely think about smoking anymore, but I’ll never delete it because I love being able to whip out my phone and show anyone who is thinking about quitting.

  • Highly recommend for would be quitters

I think the last time I left an app review was 2013. But this app has really helped me quit. I am now one month and four days in, and during moments of weakness I opened up the app and could see how I would ruin all my progress if I smoked again. The visuals are really well laid out and the app becomes your little quit smoking buddy to check in with at all hours. It’s fantastic and I really highly recommend this app

  • Nice app

I’m using the app in conjunction with a medication, bupropion, and trying to busy my hands and positive tastes with peppermint sticks, as well as listening to the audio book “Allen Carr’s The Easy Way to Quit Smoking”. I’m really enjoying the app, but I will say it was impossible for me to quit with just the app alone. I’m still getting a ton of cravings, but the app is helping me see how much positive progress I’m making. Before, I was chain smoking, and I never before thought I’d get this far. I’m using a ton of tactics at once, but I think the biggest part you need to understand is in the book. The instructions are 1- stop smoking NOW. Recognize how much nicotine is keeping you enslaved and vow to stop being a slave to that nicotine. 2- be happy about it. Don’t mope that you can’t have another, but rejoice in knowing you can have your life back! The second part is why I have failed so many times in the past. I used to worry about being able or not to keep off cigarettes, but now, it’s only been 4 days and 13 hours, but I KNOW NOW that no matter what, not one more cigarette will be poisoning my body, and I’m very happy about it 😁 this app is very good about staying positive with the newfound freedom from nicotine 🥰 thank you

  • Track your health return to normal

One of the largest downfalls (in my opinion) regarding tobacco cessation education is the shock and awe/fear of horrific consequences tactic. It has always been a black lung brought into a facility or a guest speaker speaking through a tube and discussing their medical journey brought on by smoking that is meant to deter or encourage quitting. For me, that has always seemed to deter me from quitting. More of “if I’m already done for, if there’s no fixing the damage, why stop something that soothes stress?”. While this mindset is admittedly totally off kilter and a perfect example of the addiction, the one thing I’ve found most helpful about “Smoke Free” is the rings that track your bodies return to “normal” after smoking. Each time ive felt the need to smoke I’ve opened the app and reviewed the rings. I’d seriously consider if I was ready to reset that “breathing” or “bad breath” ring. Personally, showing me that with time my body can repair itself, has helped me the most.
