    The app is always wrong either it doesn’t know my info or my information is wrong. I can’t make dining reservations. I can’t link with our travel companions to eat together. I doesn’t think I ordered my medallion when I have an order number. Really poor and useless app and this is the “improved” app. I end up having to make phone calls to Princess to get anything done and even then I’m not confident things are correct. Please do better Princess.
  • Makes me nervous!

    Princess app is very faulty. They need to make a lot of updates to get all of these bugs worked out. I have completed all of my check-in requirements but the app still says I need to order out medallions. I have confirmed everything through the web page and we are all complete. This app is just not reliable and since you are supposed to be completely relying on it that makes me nervous. We’ve spent way too much on this trip to let the app screw things up. This app is probably one of the worst in my experience.
  • Frustrating Beyond Belief

    Difficult navigation. Very slow to load. And downright impossible to order your medallion through the app.

    The Princess website isn’t much better, either. While exploring and booking excursions, you constantly get signed out for no apparent reason, have to log back in multiple times, and then get to do it all again when trying to pay via PayPal gets you kicked out all over again.

    Your app and website are embarrassing. Do better. It’s 2024.
  • Leaves much to be desired

    Princess Cruise points the customer to this app, but aside from entering pre boarding information, it is a bit cumbersome. Maybe once we board on ship, it may be helpful. Some info should be menu options and not navigating through other selections like ship layout.
    UPDATE: This app is the worse. Can’t depend that it processed anything correctly. Example, ordering the stupid Medallion. It would not appear to have processed the order. Then I get two emails congratulating me on my order and indicating I had selected to have the Medallions shipped to my home, which was correct. But the status would show process as outstanding. I assumed maybe because the order was not shipped yet. I then get a marketing email about upcoming cruise and completing the process. Now the app shows order status as two outstanding orders. So I call to find out what is outstanding. Agent tells me I am picking up Medallions at port, i.e., the slow process which defeats the whole purpose. I argued I had email indicating i did select to be shipped to my house. Bottom line, agent fixed everything and gave me date supposed to arrive.
    Now I don’t trust anything I do with the app. Especially since it keeps popping up Error screens. Awful app.
  • Terrible app

    This app is practically worthless. My last issue (of several) was in ordering my medallion for an upcoming cruise. I was able to order it about a month ago (I may have even used the old app, which was better than this one) but it was showing I still needed to order when I looked at it today. I tried to order for both myself and my travel partner (who had not yet ordered one) and when I clicked on the Order Medallion button, a got a message “unable to load content.” I had to call Princess and have a representative confirm my order and order one for my friend. Don’t even get me started on the dining reservations. If they are going to insist we do all our check in steps using this app, it needs to work better.
  • Maybe not Princess

    We’ve taken more than a dozen cruises but none with Princess. We heard good things and want to give it a try. Booked and paid for the cruise but now cannot even set anything up in the pre-cruise planner. Also, my DOB is incorrect and I cannot change it, and I cannot input onboard payment card. Tried calling the 800 number twice but was assigned to an agent I couldn’t understand both times. Maybe we should just stay with our other cruise line?
  • App and Shoreside Customer Service Need an Overhaul

    We cruised with Princess right after the roll out of Medallion Class. The technology for the wearable has lots of potential, but the app was horrendous. We just booked another cruise with them, and I was excited to see a new app! Unfortunately, it’s been just as bad. Technical error message when I try to make dining reservations, and shoreside customer service is like dealing with the worst cable company’s customer service you can imagine. Five different reps, and none would acknowledge it was a technical issue with the app until I escalated it to a supervisor. Different departments don’t talk to one another, and one rep even told me dining reservations weren’t in his job description. Not exactly a welcoming way to put you in a vacation mindset. Princess - you need to do better with the app and with your customer service! Make it match the experience on your ships!
  • App needs major work

    This app is not ready for even the most basic use. Constant issues with various areas of the app. For days I was not even able to log in and kept receiving error messages. Now I’m in and unable to reserve dining bc it seems the app is unable to connect to their dining database and provide accurate information to end users. Don’t beta test your app on paying customers. If the most basic functionality of the app is not working then you need to provide other methods to accomplish tasks without needing to make a phone call. Unacceptable.
  • I can’t access my booking

    I am not sure why they discontinued the use of the old app because that seemed to work just fine. With this one I can’t even access my booking. I am fine logging in on the website, but when I login on the app and try to link my booking it says it’s already been assigned to someone else. So why would everything about my trip and booking be accessible on the website but yet not allow me to do anything on the app? I have been trying for about two months. My trip is coming up in June and I’m going to have to figure out how to make this work.
  • Worst App Ever!!

    This is the worst app I’ve ever used. It is not functional at all. It's incredibly slow and half the time won’t even load anything. All the names of the people in my linked group for dining are tripled, and therefore I get an error anytime I try and book anything. Called guest services and am told that I will need to book all dining once on board with guest services. Also, cruise credit doesn’t show on the app so cannot book specialty dining or excursions using the credit. Again, am told I will need to book once on board. So frustrating, especially for how much we paid for this trip.

Alternatives to Princess Cruises
