  • Review of Online Appointment

I started feeling terrible yesterday afternoon after babysitting to family members that ended up having strep throat. I’m very susceptible to strep throat. I get it every year twice a year when the seasons change from warm to cold and vice versa I just knew it was gonna happen again, but tried to block it from my mind all week last night I woke up with a fever can’t swallow. It have white pus pocket on the left side of my tonsils. I have to work today at 6 AM. I jumped online at 4:30 AM. Found this website. My appointment was at 5:15 the doctor jumped on at 5:15 no waiting no hassle, they built my insurance. We talked for 10 minutes going over my symptoms after we went over my history and she’s calling in an anabiotic to the pharmacy across the street from my home on my first break. I’ll run over there and get the anabiotic amazing healthcare at your fingertips, it’s well worth 1699 a month if you’ve ever had strep throat, you know

  • Useless — don’t waste your money

The two doctors I met with were good, albeit very rushed. Everything else about PlushCare is awful. My main complaints: 1. I spent so much time waiting on the phone to try to get answers to simple questions about prior authorization forms required by my insurance. The people who answer the phone have no knowledge of how insurance works, what’s covered, etc. Do they get any kind of training or does the company hire any random people who are willing to work for minimum wage? 2. Why bother spending hours on hold? Because when you send a message through the app, you get a generic response that doesn’t actually answer your question so you’re essentially forced to call in order to speak to a human. 3. Unlike every other doctor’s office / physician group I’ve been to, PlushCare doesn’t actually interact with your insurer or your pharmacy benefit manager to sort out problems. If you’ve got a good understanding of how to fill out prior authorization forms, get medications approved, etc, please feel free to spend your time fighting with your insurer on your own behalf. But if you ever need any sort of support from PlushCare, you are out of luck. They will not do anything to help you whatsoever. TLDR: Don’t bother giving PlushCare your money. It’s absolutely useless. I have no idea why the app’s ratings are so high.

  • Incredible Service

I am a 60 yr old woman who does not have Tim to show up at. Dr’s office where they require me to show up on time but keep me waiting because the Dr is running 45 min to an hour late. It has always disturbed me that I am required to show up at my appt time out of respect for the physicians time, but they have absolutely no respect for my valuable time I have also used Dr on Demand. When it began they focused on customer service. The last time I contacted Dr on Demand not only did they charge me for the time with a General practitioner, where I was told my prescription was being sent to the pharmacy, when in fact not only was it not sent to the pharmacy but I was sent a letter 24 hours later that I was required to book another appt with a Psychiatrist at $300 dollars for 45 minutes. although the medication I was requesting is used primarily for depression, that is not the reason that I use it . I could even understand if I was requesting a new medication that I had never taken, but I had been on this medication for the past three years that is well documented through the same pharmacy I have always used.
My experience with this practitioner here was delightful, I was asked all relevant and pertinent questions pertaining to my health what medication I’ve been on, etc. this doctor was incredibly relevant and fully up-to-date on what other uses the requested medication is prescribed for.

  • Malpractice

Dr. Simon Djen prescribed medication for me in August, 2023. As with all providers who have prescribed this medication for me, he was clear on the importance of not missing doses and to have bloodwork to confirm no adverse effects of the medication. I filled the bloodwork order and the results were sent to him. The Plush Care message was clear: no need to follow up on these results. Despite a total of 6 messages through the app to Dr. Djen and the healthcare coordinators, and two phone calls to the cust service number, Dr Djen failed to refill my prescription. I was clear that I would run out of the meds by a date certain. Despite this, he failed to respond to my requests for a refill. Finally he asked to discuss lab results. Early on the morning of the appointment Dr Djen inexplicably canceled the appointment and did not provide cover for the appointment. Plush Care found a physician, Dr. Kahn, to review the lab results. She told me that the results reveal that I may have a serious condition. She also confirmed that she was sending the prescription refill to a specific pharmacy. She failed to do so. This may constitute medical practice on the parts of Drs. Djen and Kahn and Plus Care. I strongly recommend that no one subject themselves to this shoddy medical care provider.

  • Amazing!!

Made an appointment same day, could have met earlier, which is nice for those who need same day and ASAP. I was able to find a perfect time that worked best for me. I was able to enter all the normal information requested when seeing a Physician when you go into an office! Doing this in advance, vs sitting there…time savings!! Dr. Timi Maloney reviewed the entries upon dialing in with me. I was able to provide her additional information, she discussed next steps, she reviewed why the next steps, and why certain tasks would be required for our follow up. Dr. Timi Maloney was personable; and she had a great bedside or phone-side manner, extremely professional, and she understood that time is everything….and as a Mom to 3 teens, Dog Mom to 3, and a wife to 1…telemedicine for an established diagnosis and NKA or issues with current medication and conditions is what works best for me. Highly recommend and that is both Dr. Timi Maloney and PlushCare.

  • My Review

My PlushCare Physician and I have connected via telehealth appointments several times now over the last couple of years. Each time I find myself very satisfied with his medical insight, ease in communicating with me, thoroughness in ordering tests/appointments with local medial specialists, and prescribing required medications. At this point in our professional connection, I no longer even notice that we are not present in the same office. It is a trusted relationship that has developed. More than once I have shared that I wish he practiced in the community where I reside; but, when I really think about it - he sort of does! Thank you, Dr. Van Vugt, for your medical expertise and as well for your impressive commitment to customer service/ empathy/and professional standards! You are a part of a needed teleHEALTH community and you are making an impact! One that I appreciate more than you know!

  • Horrible experience, multiple times

I want to be clear in that this review and rating is not about my doctor, but everything else surrounding Plushcare. I quite frankly have never experienced such a bad experience leading me to write this review. First of all, their messaging service does not work. They offer you a chance to 'message your doctor'. Yet two different messages to my doctor went completely unanswered. They offer you a chance to message your "care team" and state a 2-3 day turnaround time. Asking to full a cholesterol prescription, 6 days later, resulted in a generic response that said it's been more two months since you've seen your doctor, scheule a fee-based appointment to review symptoms - blah blah blah. There are no sympotoms for high cholesterol, there are test results and previous discussion I was simply following up on. By the way, this was the second occurance over a three month period where the care team took forever to respond, and responded back with something completely irelelevant. I would pass on this service as there are so many out there. Also read previous 5 star reviews carefully. They come off as completely staged.

  • Don t do it! Waste of money!

This is my second time trying to review, seems my first wasn’t allowed to post. Hmmmm.
First issue, the doc ordered blood work. They emailed me a form to take to a local lab. I went to the lab and had blood drawn but was told they couldn’t run test without a digital signature from the doctor. The lab order was never signed. The hospital tried calling and couldn’t get through do they left a voicemail. I called to follow up, but was also left on hold then 45 minutes later a computerized message told me no one was available to take my call, so I also left a message. I followed up with two emails and a message on the app to the doctor. This was on Tuesday, still NO RESPONSE. I then notice an erroneous charge for $90 on my card so I emailed. They won’t answer definitively on that issue as well. WASTE OF MONEY, definitely fraudulent. I will be filing a chargeback on my card for the $219 for nothing!

  • Saved my life!

two years ago I called this service and had an appointment with Dr. Susan and I let her know that I was flying out to North Carolina to see a friend and that I needed some thyroid medication. She took a good look at me this was a video chat, and said you look terrible tell me what’s going on, I told her that I was extremely thirsty that I had to go to the bathroom every 1520 minutes, that I felt sick and I told her all my symptoms. She said I think you’re a diabetic you need to be rushed to the hospital immediately. I called my son after I got off the phone with her he rushed me to ER my numbers were 650 I was in the ICU for four days. If it wasn’t for this amazing doctor I might have died. What’s interesting is that I spoke to her today I have not spoken to her in two years and we remember that day where she saved my life. I am very grateful to Plush care for taking such personal interest in their customers I’m sorry their patients, their level of care and professionalism is unbelievable. I can always get someone on the phone for a doctor appointment as a diabetic this is something that I need always. Thank you so much plush care for taking such good care of me and thank you again Dr. Susan for saving my life!

  • Glad to find online treatment for Covid-19

I’m a 65 yr old disabled woman. I tested positive for Covid this morning Thur 1/12 after being exposed by a family member 4 days ago. I preferred to find a doctor online to avoid going out. I found PlushCare and selected Dr. Cristina Acosta Padron from the list of available physicians. Appointments were readily available with a wide selection of doctors to choose from including their profiles and reviews.
Dr. Padron discussed my symptoms and current prescriptions I’m taking. I was hoping to be prescribed an antiviral medication to reduce the severity of my Covid. We discovered that several of my current meds conflicted with the drug most prescribed PAXLOVID. The doctor instead chose to prescribe LAGEVRIO which allows me to continue taking all of my current meds.
Dr. Padron is very professional, competent and caring. She made me feel comfortable during our appointment and answered questions that I had. I would recommend her very highly as a physician.
