  • Awful

    I’ve been a home exchange member for 10 years and fully expected to see my listing on this app. It isn’t. The issue is, this is now Guest to Guest. Confused? There is a point system that you can cash in. That isn’t home exchange. What you have now is a poor mans AirBnB which is totally baffling and doesn’t even work. This is an object lesson in how you can take a beautifully simple idea and completely ruin it by trying to be “clever”. The home exchange people need to sit down and think again.

The old HomeExchange merged with GuesttoGuest, bringing all HomeExchange accounts with it. Regarding the GuestPoints, they cannot be cashed in, and are merely a system that was put in place to facilitate non-reciprocal exchanges.   • Still buggy, missing search features

    The app crashes regularly when browsing, forcing a restart of the app. It is missing a key search feature, the ability to filter out exchangers who do not want to come to your country. You can only filter out those who do not want to come to your town, which is all but useless

  • Awful

    You can’t migrate people to an app that simply doesn’t work. There are so many bugs with the app I don’t know there to begin - here are just a few.

    The “booked” button doesn’t work on the calendar.

    It’s impossible to see a logical display of former messages and where things currently stand with requests.

    When trying to message someone it’s impossible unless they have calendar openings. But I highly doubt most HE people know they have to go in and open up their calendar - I didn’t!

    Super sloppy roll out - disappointed.

  • Totally confused

    This seems like an app for a totally different service, absolutely useless

  • Clumsy and cumbersome

    I’ve been with HE for several years and each of their website “improvements” have gotten worse. Their website is difficult to use and lacks easy user interfaces. It seems as if they are trying to meld a person to person home exchange with their version of AirBnB and ended up with something that is neither. Lacks intuitiveness! Disappointed.

  • Not as good as the old app, disappointed.

    I much preferred the old app it was better and easier to use .

  • I can’t see “preferred exchanges”

    It used to be an option to search only with people who wants to go to my city (or country). I can’t see this option visible.

  • What happened to my Homeexchange?!?!

    I have been using the Homeexchange app for years and today they forced me to move over to this piece of crap...dang. All my messages gone. Search broken. Exchanges gone. I love the service and have no problem paying close to $150 per year... But don’t roll out a new app till it’s working.
  • Great app

    It can use a few improvements but it works.
  • All right but could be an awful lot better

    1. Search works ok, images of homes show up but not the full description - many details shown on the website are missing
    2. No ability to translate text of messages / home descriptions
    3. Often logs me out and then there is an error when I log back and the only solution is to delete the app and reinstall it
