  • Great program, app works fine for me.

    We love home exchange, having been members for less than a year but we’ve already completed several exchanges and have several more arranged. The change to guest points was a surprise, which is what a lot of folks are complaining about but now that we are used to them, I prefer it as it’s much easier to arrange exchanges. I have also found HE open to feedback and continuing to work to improve the website and app. For the nominal yearly fee, I find their service a great value.

  • About GuestPoints

    I like the app, mostly, but one thing I think would be helpful would be to have a filter to locate members who are willing to accept Guest Points. I have accepted points, but now I can’t find a home where I can use these points. All of my points inquiries have been declined, even on ‘secondary homes.’ Also, can’t figure out how lo change the city under the main heading. Hope all of these comments make sense.

  • I feel a change of site coming on!

    They have taken all the worst features of LoveHomeSwap and added them to a previously brilliant site that worked well.
    Why do I feel it is an offshoot of Airbnb for the get rich quick merchants?
  • New app needs more work

    I have been using the home exchange site for 4 years now. But their new app and web site are confusing.
    The app can only be used in ‘portrait view ‘ on my iPad, which is annoying.
    This app still needs lots of tweaking.
  • Terrible app

    I love Home Exchange and used to find searching and filtering easy but this new app is difficult use, inflexible, and hard to navigate. The web site is not much better sadly.
  • Bad move Home exchange

    Oh dear this app is abysmal . I cannot find my home on it , and feels like just a sales advert for houses .. plus in general what home exchange has done by selling /merging the company with to guest2guest is pretty much alienate all of its members . I don’t know anybody happy with the new system and it isn’t improving like you promised as “ we fix bugs “ and “improve the site “. Sadly it’s just like a bad Airbnb which is super disappointing. The site is so hard to negotiate , I barely look at any of my messages now . The inbox system online also is too confusing and I cannot list houses I’m interested in . If I say no to an exchange it stays in my inbox “ under discussion” asking me to “ approve the dates “. One more point. The houses /apartments here are of a low quality and none of them I want to stay in despite having many many requests . There are so little houses which are beautiful . It’s literally pointless ,unless you own a little apartment and can exchange with a like minded messy owner . Nope .....

We're sorry to hear that you don't find what you expect on the app. It's indeed far from perfect but we're working hard for it to be easier to use at each release. You'll see that we're working for some clearer status for the inbox so that declined exchange do not appear anymore as "under discussion". Also, about the home offer, we have a bit of everything, from the amazing mention to the little studio in London or Paris. It's really about giving an opportunity to anyone, wether they have a palace or not, to discover that unique home exchange experience that is so authentic and that we want to share. Then it's opt to you to decide who to do the exchange with... About your first comment: you can find your home on your personal space (Me tab from bottom menu bar) and update its information.   • Frustrating!

    Can’t reorganize photos. Can’t update address, can’t see last message, can’t change house rules that are completely out of sync with what I specified on website, can’t open developers website to send comments, can’t click e-mail link to send comments, can’t even copy said email address, message panel freezes with spinning circle. This app is a waste of time.

  • App continually improving

    The app was somewhat unimpressive upon launch but they've gradually enhanced it so that it's now very functional. I'm optimistic they'll make it even better as time goes along. It's super handy to be able to interact with our travel partners from our pocket.
  • Nothing but problems

    The NEW HomeExchange website is riddled with problems. Difficult to find homes that were previously saved to my profile. Can’t edit visits, or update easily. Not sure about the guest points, who determines how much your home is worth?
    Overall I am not satisfied with the NEW website. Why change something that seemed to be working just fine?

Your HomeExchange favorites were conserved in your section "favorites" and we'll work in the near future to provide you with custom wishlists so to simplify your selection.   • Longstanding user of H.E.

    I have been a very loyal member of H.E. Since approx. 06’ and have done many exchanges utilizing the traditional original HE system. In fact had a number of credits (balloons) that since the integration were converted to “points”.
    Since the conversion, I have spent many hours reviewing and providing input to the developers toward improvement (something that obviously should have been thoroughly beta tested by their paid staff before release/conversion. I deeply believe in the concept and have hung in there. Week by week I’m seeing improvements however the developers still have a ways to go. It is incumbent on the new owners/developers to bring this site up to potential for the benefit of the many loyal members around the globe who have lots at stake.
