Love litter boxes, own 3, but please fix defect in app
I have no complaints, after over a year of use with 3 litter boxes and 9 cats. I do have one ask. A big one for me actually. There’s a defect in the app where if you click on your pet and go to change it’s weight, it only allows you to see kg, even though the weight measurement is set to lbs on the app. All of their loitering shows in lbs, it’s only when I click on my pets profile or click on a pet after they loitered, that it incorrectly shows as kg. I can’t do that conversion in my head easily and this defect has been there though several app updates. Please prioritize to a higher level, it’s a great inconvenience to customers and the end goal should be to make it hassle free.Show lessDreamBig19(me)
Exceeded my expectations!
I had high hopes for the litter box and was not disappointed! Does a superb job of emptying each time! My only complaint is that when the time comes to clean the unit, it is quite a challenge to empty and clean.shannymoe
Excellent product!
Our new PETKIT automatic litter box has been a game changer! It’s amazing and has made our life so much easier. We have three cats so we do have to switch out the bag in the container every three days because it fills up faster, but it’s worth it. It’s easy to set up and use. Plus, it automatically scoops the poo out quickly which doesn’t allow time for my dogs to go in for a mid day snack. I have only had it one month but it has gone above and beyond our expectations and has made cleanup a breeze. No more manual scooping. I have not found a way to register it for the one year warranty and have reached out to PETKIT support several times through email but have never received a reply. Any suggestions?Show lesstlevieux66
Calendar is out by a whole day and no longer retaining information
I have two major issues with the app that I’ve written to petkit about but get no useful information from them.
Firstly the calendar is out by a whole day, for example if today were Tuesday 24th Oct, the app shows Monday 24th Oct, which is just annoying.
The second issue is that the app no longer retains the detailed notes (time, weight etc). This was one of the selling points for me as I was monitoring one of my cats who was ill. Previously the app would retain the detailed notes for the entire time it has been in use.
Now it only retains it for a few months and that’s it. I find this incredibly frustrating as I need to be able to monitor their weight in particular.
I’ve had no joy from their support team, which provided a switch it off and on type of response, which I have done - I’ve uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app to no avail.
They’ve asked for a video of this being completed and it not working… I have asked them to clarify this request twice… do they want a video showing me deleting the app and then showing the camera that the dates are still wrong!!!! I’ve sent them screenshots, but it appears that isn’t good enough.
Basically, if you want accurate data for use on vet visits or to monitor health - this one isn’t it!Show lessL.M44

PETKIT Auto Litter Box
We replaced an automatic litter box for PETKIT and what a difference. The app is is on my phone and keeps track of all movement and events inside the box. We have two Bengals who are approximately 2lbs difference in weight, the App allows you to use the correct name with the weight of the cat. I receive updates during the day on both and a summary report in the evening. It’s like having a full time assistant when we’re out for the day. The cats seem to love it and who doesn’t love a happy cat? The unit is simple to clean and the cat litter is easy to use… no dust and very little litter sometimes outside the box and matt provided. The unit is smaller then the last one we had which fits easily in smaller places… there is not enough room in the inside to play (they enter, take care of business and after departing ….the unit cleans automatically) so . Healthy for all of us. Highly Recommend this unit if you’re shopping for an automatic litter box.Show less2snapps
Out performed my expectations
Selected PETKIT litter box due to the high rating for odor control. Reviews expressed concern with the smaller opening than other automated litter boxes. One of our kitties is 14 pounds so that was a concern in making a selection. While the entry is smaller, our big boy has no issue getting in and using the box. He was actually trying to get in before I had it assembled. The odor control is very effective and something other boxes didn’t have. The app and the controls are easy to understand and use. The option to turn off the automatic clean and set the time delay when it is on automatic helped acclimate our kitties to having a box that “moves”. It’s great to have the app let me know it’s time to empty the waste bin or top off the litter. I am very happy with the purchase and wish I made the decision to buy this ages ago.Show lessIma Play R
Highly recommended
I did a lot of procrastination, reading posts and asked a few questions prior to purchase. In the end I made my decision with regard to aesthetics, I preferred the look of the PETKIT.
So pleased that I got this machine.
I truly hate scooping litter and this really has been a game changer for me and my Maine Coons. My little one needed a bit of encouragement to start with but no issues now.
