App is crap and so is the vac now
I have the same connection issues that everyone else has been complaining about for years now. Obviously the company could care less about their customers as nothing is ever done. Last update on the app was over 2 years ago?!? Seriously?!? Time to throw this piece of junk out and buy another brand.boborocksit

Love my Neato vacuum, have had it for years. Unfortunately the robot does not connect anymore it says a new version is available but I’m unable to update it!!april123@farm

Works for five minutes, then it keeps asking to be rebooted. Will not connect at all. Spent five hours trying to connect. I complained and I was accused of being abusive. Never again will I buy a Neato!ghtypl13

Complete rubbish
Pairing with the device is a nightmare. Every time you change your wifi password you need to go through this horrible process which never seems to work. If you’re reading this review wondering whether to buy a Neato, my advice is Don’t. Or just use it in offline mode. Hardly intelligent.NunnaUrBusiness

The vacuum works fine as standalone, it connected fine then it shows “app update required” the app is up to date, reinstall-install doesn’t work , it is pretty useless without the appAAC 666

Hi there! We're very sorry to hear about this. This is a desync bug and can be easily fixed through the following steps: 1) Turn of the robot (press and hold the power/start button on the unit) 2) Log out of the Neato app 3) Turn the robot back on (press the power/start button once and wait about 30-40 seconds until you hear a musical chime) 4) Log back into the app and the message should have cleared! Worst
App not letting me connect to wifi. I’ve done the full reboot multiple times, deleted app, took out battery and still will not connect. Contacted customer support multiple times and get told to do the hard reboot every time which does NOTHING. Fix this app.ola 8080

I have a Neato d5, and older one, but one that still works well. It says there is an update available, which fails every time, and when I contact support they tell me the update Can brick robots, and they are “working on it”. I don’t know how long this has been happening, but my robot is on the first initial version, with maps not working on the app and not confident in this companies dedication to customer service and longevity. While the robots can be competitively priced, get something else from a more reputable brand.

I will update my review once I receive reassurance and proof that this company is striving to not only do best by themselves, but do best for their customers. The original review was made after contacting customer support and getting no help, so unless that can be proven in time with actions and not just empty promises, only time will tell.Show lessBalddm
Pig of an app
Unless you work at Neato you will not know which app to use. The app web interface is a dog. The website has a bunch of social media icons where the app link should be. All the links in the app web interface send you to some search landing page like a failed first grade assignment. Just too many buttons to use all round. I’ve had my Neato for years. Only used it occasionally because it disconnected and got sick of typing letters to get the thing to work. No better after all this time. The app is a pig so I just use the home button to run the thing. Might be the wrong app but how to know.Show lessBindi Bell
