  • Neato robot vac

I’ve had the Neato D3 now for about 3 months. Have not experienced any issues in reviews posted. It learned my floor plan in 3 cleanings. Setup no go lines after it learned floor plan and made that feature available to me. Now with no go lines cleans entire 1st floor in one charge. Initially it spent a lot of time around bar stools but no go lines solved that. It’s even able to go under coaches. We use it supervised although it has not had issues so it could be scheduled. Picks up a lot of dog hair which keeps us from doing a up right cleaning to 3-4 times a month. We primarily use it as supplemental cleaning for dog hair. Highly pleased with purchase and unit and app.

  • NEATO CONNECTED

Please Neato give the botvac connected no go lines and zone cleaning because I purchased the product for $1599 thinking it would come with all the top not features cos it cost so much but it didn’t. And all it takes is an update please Neato
  • Hopeless robot

    Hopeless robot.
Motor failed, every week need to setup again and again to connect to WiFi, scheduler doesn’t work, doesn’t clean well too. Never again Neato in my life. Don’t recommend either. Poorly designed and cheaply manufactured.
  • Great helper

I absolutely love this robot. However, I wish there was a return to base override that works whenever, wherever I decide to end the job.
  • Great but room for improvement

Now that customer support helped me to finally complete a floor plan (had to send additional magnetic strips), this thing is a life-changer! BUT... a really easy fix would be to make a mode where you can create a floor plan without the actual suction on; just walk the home. Our 1-story has a very large footprint. Plus, they need to allow “breadcrumbs” so that it can always find its way to the dock, even when not using a floor plan. Also, would be nice to view stats (like rooms we tend to clean more than others or ones that haven’t been cleaned for a while). Finally, I don’t think you can use Alexa to clean just a specific room (I could be wrong, tho). Look forward to even more!

  • Great Features, could be improved

The app works wonderfully. Push alerts let me know when the cleaning has completed (which reminds me to empty the filter).

The initial setup went smoothly, however the app should have prompted me to do the “special floor plan creation” for using the No-Go lines on the FIRST cleaning. Because it doesn’t prompt for this I let it clean the entire house thinking I would then be able to draw no-go lines, which is not the case. So after waiting hours for it to finish I had to repeat the process in the special mode.

I also wish in the scheduled cleaning section I could specify the cleaning options such as: whole home, specific room(s) and eco, or turbo modes. So I could set certain days for eco and other days for turbo mode in select areas.

  • Next useless

Frequently refuses to connect to app. Easier to manually set it off from the robot itself.
Saves heaps of frustration that way.
  • Very Good - Few tweaks to be great

I really like the D7 we purchased for Christmas - the hardware is great. The app is good but could use some minor enhancements - which admittedly won’t apply to everyone due to their particular model of Vac. In regards to the zone cleaning feature, it would be nice to have a polygon tool to draw the zone rather than just a rectangle. Also it would be nice to be able to select multiple zones to clean during one run before coming back to its dock. Thirdly- please add a polygon tool, ellipse, and rectangle tool for the no-go lines. A layer that you could toggle on/off for the no-go lines would be nice so you don’t have to recreate them if you wanted to temporarily remove them would be great.

All and all a very nice product. Keep on improving and I’ll keep showing my friends and selling more.

  • Changed- but not for the better

I’ve had a Botvac Connected for two years, and both the app and Alexa skill used to work well, within their limits. A recent update means that my Botvac always runs in Turbo mode when started from the app or Alexa, even though the default is set to Eco. There’s no way to change this. This makes it impossible to clean the whole house in one go. And Neato have not responded to my last four support requests about this and other questions. Shockingly poor customer service.

  • If only you support multiple schedules!

Love the D7 and the app, really a lifesaver with a busy young family and dog! It’s very thorough and does a fairly good job and navigating and getting itself out of trouble. It has (unfortunately) rearranged our lives, several rugs have been retired and their very deep pile (think those deep fluffy ones from Ikea) would cause the D7 to often get stuck. On the plus side it has forced the family to have a habit of tidying up before doing the school run so the vacuum can do its thing. I think we’ve become more trained than the robot.

But, why why why can’t I schedule my vac to clean more than once a day! The bin is easily filled in one clean, and to deal with the general daily mess and hair of the family it would be great to have multiple schedules per day, especially with zone cleaning! Why did you introduce zone cleaning and not multiple schedules?!?!? I.e. deep clean the breakfast / eating area during the school run, clean the rest of house with eco while the kids are at school, clean the living rooms (not bedrooms) in the evenings / at night. This would make managing the limited bin space a lot easier and work around a busy family, which I thought was the entire point of the D7 and zone cleaning.

I’ve resorted to using IFTTT to trigger the vac more than once a day, but doing so only does a full clean, no zone cleaning or virtual no-go lines. Please add this, it honestly can’t be that difficult!!!
