Misleading and exclusive

Information in app details says iOS14 or above is needed. I have iOS15. When I try to open the app I get an error message saying iOS16 is needed! This will exclude many others like myself who are using older phones for a variety of reasons (more sustainable, cannot afford phone upgrade etc.). Please make your app accessible to all.

FAQ

What can I do with the Halifax Mobile Banking app?

The app allows you to securely log in using your face or fingerprint to check your account balance, make payments, and view your statements. You can also manage your debit card, track your spending with insights, check your credit score, and utilize savings features like Save the Change.

Is the Halifax Mobile Banking app free to use?

Yes, the app itself is free to download and use. However, your mobile operator may charge for data usage, such as downloading or using the app. It's recommended to check with your mobile provider for any potential charges.

What are the security features of the app?

The app offers secure login options using your face or fingerprint (Touch ID/Face ID). It also allows you to freeze and unfreeze your debit card instantly if it's lost or stolen, providing peace of mind. The app also collects anonymous location data to help combat fraud.

What are the system requirements for the Halifax Mobile Banking app?

The app is available to customers with a UK personal account and a valid registered phone number. You will need iOS 14 or above to use the app. Specific features like Touch ID and Face ID have additional device requirements, such as iPhone 6s or later for Touch ID and iPhone X or later for Face ID.

How does the 'Save the Change' feature work?

The 'Save the Change' feature rounds up your debit card purchases to the nearest pound. The difference, or 'change', is then automatically moved into a designated savings account. This is a simple way to build up savings without actively thinking about it.
