crashes when trying to join a visit
first, you have to make sure your phone is in light mode to be able to even see the text box to type in your credentials sign in.
once you’ve passed the network and latency tests, the app either freezes or crashes completely upon trying to join the visit.
force closing, restarting your device, and reinstalling the app will not help. luckily i had a backup device that finally worked, but that simply isn’t an option for many people.
since they profit off of us paying to communicate with our incarcerated loved ones, at the very least they can make a competent app. would rate 0 stars if i could.

This is by far one of the worst app I’ve ever used. Every time I try to join a video visit, the app runs the network test (which passes), then the echo test, but as soon as I tap “Join,” it immediately kicks me out. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, force-closed it between attempts, switched from WiFi to cellular, and nothing works. Considering how much money I spend using IC Solutions to stay connected with my husband it’s unacceptable that the app is this unreliable. A service this important should have a product that actually works. Very disappointing and frustrating!!!!!!!! ITS HEARTBREAKING

A scam
App crashes constantly. They love to take advantage of people who can’t do anything about it. You pay to have a video visitation and schedule a day in advance, just to open the app and it ends the visit for you. Ridiculous. If they wanted to be better, they would.

Absolutely horrible! If I’m able to connect which is often an issue the call quality is terrible. I’ve used WiFi, 5G, driven to different areas for the best cellular service, it makes no difference. If you are going to offer a service advertised to keep you connected with loved ones you should do better.

How To Review a Nonexistent App July 9, 2026
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THERE IS NO APP TO BE FOUND HERE. I standby the probability that one did used to exist once upon a time but as of July 2026, NO APP IS AVAILABLE HERE. When you click on [OPEN] (like how you see it once newly purchase, or if you used to have the app and it just had an update or if you redownloaded it after having offloaded it) it takes you straight to the website, which has somehow undergone some kind of digital downgrade from its interface, performance issues, security indicators, layout changes etcetera and generally speaking it just looks SUS AF! I’m not going to trust the website now either since it doesn’t seem to work any better than this “app” does and yet it’s turned my primary issue now to be with iOS Apple App Store for even allowing a platform to advertise here without it having an actual APP PRODUCT, or at the very minimum Apple iOS Store should be publicly accessible for complaints about the ghosts of vanishing apps like ICSolutions here.

I HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT STEP JUST TO SET THE THING UP AND YOU GUYS CANT EVEN SCRIPT A NOTIFICATION. WHO EVER MADE THIS APP DESERVES A PAID BREAK AND A WHOLE LESSON ON APP DEVELOPMENT. I COULD LEARN TO SCRIPT A SIMPLE APP LIKE THIS WITH A BETTER UI IN LESS THAN A YEAR IT CANNOT BE THAT DIFFICULT TO HIRE A BETTER TEAM OR EVEN ONE INDIVIDUAL I KNOW APPLE IS COMPLICATED FOR NO REASON AS WELL BUT AFTER USING CONNECT GTL I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW AN APP FROM THE STATE CAN BE SO USELESS. MISSED NUMEROUS CALLS JUST BECAUSE OF THE STUPIDITY OF THIS APP AND WEBSITE. DO BETTER! BY THIS TIME I’M PROBABLY GONNA BE ABLE TO GET IN CONTACT WITH MY FAMILY WHENEVER THEY GET RELEASED!
