Unusable: Buggy. 1st time my PT used this

Basically this app is unusable for me for my PT prescribed exercises. Sending her the news she’ll have to send them via email instead.
Downloaded today. Working from my Mac using latest version Tahoe. Hangs up after the first video prescribed by my PT. Plays it but doesn’t let me return to list. Screen is tiny as tho mirroring a phone. Can see a timer peeking out from home window (I presume) in upper R corner but can’t click out of video window to reach it. Have to close the app each time I want to go to the next vid. The videos didn’t save properly. The exact same vid shows up under the “Prep” category for each exercise. Same with the “Strength/Power” section. Have let her know. Also had bugs at create account screen which didn’t show captcha at first. Rebooted app and found it but then it still hung up 3 times (had to close app each time). At one point I could see some backend verbiage at bottom peaking out from some other unknown window. Very strange.

Slow

The app is good for tracking workouts but app itself is the slowest app I have ever encountered. There are times I have to open and close the app numerous times with no result forcing me to try again at a later time. I have had it for years and updated multiple times still no change. Also after logging a workout and closing the app it will be gone when I open the app again forcing me to log again. I love the app haven’t deleted but that’s probably because I’m used to it and don’t know what app to get instead. I plan to find something new if I can and there are no changes to this one.

Great!

I enjoy using the app. Very easy to navigate and follow. The variety of plans to follow has something for any goal. My only gripe about the app/ something I would like to see in an update is an easier way setting up your weekly routine. Most plans will generate a plan with built in rest and working days, I’d rather be able to set those days on my own and the plan fills in around this. Otherwise I’m constantly having to manually adjust the days on my own to align with my personal schedule and availability. For example if I want my rest days to be Tuesday/ Thursday, I can format this as I’m choosing to add a plan to my calendar and the plan will only schedule workouts on the remaining days that are not rest days. It’s tedious to have to go back and adjust the entire plan.

Response from developer

Hi there, Thanks for leaving a review and sharing your feedback. I have logged your thoughts and opinions to share with the team. It would be great to be able to tell the software what days are rest and work days and the program to then be placed in the calendar around your personal schedule. If you have any further feedback or questions, be sure to reach out to us at support@trainheroic.com.

Just awful

Really bad user experience all around.
Most frustrating is that if you miss a session it messes up the schedule of your entire program. Sure, you can move a single session, but what I am sick for a week?! Other apps just push the plan back keeping the order of sessions. Not this app! Sessions stay on the day they were originally scheduled whether you completed them or not. Now I’ve got week 1 sessions mixed in with week 5. It’s a mess.

And there doesn’t seem to be a way to get an overview of the whole plan.

I get that coaches like an easy way to deliver plans, but as an end user this is utter trash. Can’t wait to finish my program and never come back.

Zero history

As soon as you stop your subscription you loose access to all the historical data you paid for over months and months. All those training sessions, gone. Epic BS.
