  • Trash and doesn’t promise what subscriptions say

    I subscribed to the lite then the smart plan and after finding out the max time I got was two days worth of footage recorded and viewable from that point on the rest was gone and I also saved a minute but after a bit it also disappeared. I wasted money on a lie, it failed to give what it said and scammed me out of some money. It may not be much but still it’s money I could’ve used. This app is basically useless and stupid, it doesn’t even promise what it says it promises.

  • Terrible

    If I would have known that the only way to view the playback videos in the app is when I’m sitting in my car, turning car on so dashcam turns on, I would not have purchase this brand. The dashcam has to be on to view recorded videos. How terrible! Absolute garbage. Playback videos should be avail on the app without having to turn on car and cam. Get it together. It’s 2024. I wish I would have gone with a different brand. Waste of money. Trash app.

  • Improvements

    I’ve been using the DR750 2 channel LTE model for about 2 years now and have been happy with it. The software has seen some very slight improvements over that time , especially with the latest Update on 4-1-24 where they finally implemented Battery Status over the cloud. A much welcomed feature. My only gripe is ever since they added that 2 way communication feature it made the viewing window smaller and no longer fills the whole screen of my phone, it’s like a small box within my large screen real estate. I wish they could give the option to enable or disable the 2 way , since I don’t even use that. Overall the Cameras have been fine.

  • Works great 👍🤷‍♂️ I highly recommend 😁

    I read all the negative reviews, I don’t understand why they are complaining,

    Just installed my cam today, while I will probably never use the cloud service they offer, right there at the bottom of the screen is an offline wifi mode, I click on that, it connects instantly, video downloads are fast, all the settings are clear and easy to find, works great!

    I think all the negative reviews are just boomers who don’t understand how to connect to the camera with the offline wifi mode 😂🤣👍

  • Atrociously awful app!

    App is completely unusable! Newest version now wants access to location and your local network… for what? The BlackVue app doesn’t even appear in iPhone settings if you look for it to try to adjust settings as prompted when attempting to open the app. We just need to be able to access our videos locally through the app! NOBODY needs or wants an account or cloud service or giving you access to our locations just to use the product WE ALREADY PAID FOR AND OWN! The app worked just fine for years PRIOR to their requiring you to have an account just to view your own videos on a camera the USER ALREADY PURCHASED! These cameras are already expensive and now they’re utterly useless because of this ridiculous app! The incompetence of the leadership and developers at this company is disgusting! Take a lesson from the other cheaper dashcams that actually do the thing they’re made to do and don’t constantly make their app worse. Make the app useable and stop changing it and requiring an account, cloud, or permissions for things that were never needed before! If you’re considering buying a dashcam system from this company then DON’T BUY IT! If it was possible to give this app negative stars on its rating we all would! Do better BlackVue! This app and its constant changes for the worse is unacceptable and you should be ashamed of yourselves!

  • New DR590X 2CH

    I recently purchased this camera for the pure purpose of safety and just needing that simple security of my car. Please not I did not buy the GPS attachment as it was not necessary.

    I like the features the camera has, but it going back to the shop.

    To use this dash camera one has to give my location on the map? Why? That my phone and my location, it has nothing to do with set up!! I am not interested in using GPS, so I can’t really set it up.

    Local network I agree with for settings, but to make matters worse if I am trying to set up and decide to temporarily allow location, the APP itself is not showing under my settings to change it to on or turn off.

    All I want is to plug in, connect camera, get a live view “Bluetooth” or “wifi” to my phone. Once running I just want to let it do its job.

    The APP as said by the other review is correct and a waste of time.

    DO NOT BUY BLACKVUE.

  • Very suspicious app

    This app is mad sus, the only dashcam that makes you create and account for no reason. I created an account and tried connecting via that option and wouldn’t allow me to only via WiFi mode. Now this is where it’s gets even more suspicious when connecting to the dash it will not allow me due to having a vpn at all. You may say ohh it’s because it tracks your location accurately but Momento doesn’t need me to take off my vpn. Great quality video though, wish it had an audio button on it instead of having to connect to the app to turn it off.

  • Great if you only need one.

    The app is pretty good but the pay wall is horrible if you have more than 1 car in the house. You are pretty much forced into a subscription

    There can be a bit more fine tuning for fluid operation of the app and integration but all in all, great if you only need the 1.

    2nd dash cam for the 2nd car won’t be a BlackVue.

  • Wifi keeps disconnecting

    It appears it is an app is unsupported and does not work at all. I’m unable to connect to the camera after upgrading to the latest firmware.

    Please fix the connectivity problems. The price of this camera the support for the application is not good enough. Also people outside of the US do not want to pay subscriptions in US dollars please fix this so we can have local currency to upgrade to cloud storage.

  • Used to be good, now horrible

    I’ve been buying BlackVue camera’s for the past 6+ years I believe. Back in the beginning the app worked well and I could view recorded videos, live view, and update the firmware. Lately, however, the only thing I can do is update firmware settings for the camera itself from the app. I’ve tried everything to get the app to show me recorded videos either via cloud or WiFi direct, and the list stays empty. But, the camera IS recording clips to the sd card, they just won’t show in the app anymore. I’ve deleted the app, re-installed, multiple times, and tried different things to no success.
