Prevent wife from causing high utility bill.
Live in the south and the screen went out on our 15,000 BTU AC window unit. Installed the app on my phone and told wife that the screen on the AC couldn’t be repaired, and said that the app can only be on 1 phone. Set up a schedule, utility bill dropped $100 a month. She would set it to max cool 60 degrees. Now I have it on an energy saver schedule and blows full blast only like 2 hours a day. Love it.Show lessOtterjones
Excellent idea and easy to use app!
Once I linked my phone to my washer and dryer, I found it to be an incredibly helpful app. I do other chores while doing laundry and I like that it lets me know when the laundry is done. I love that it helps me speed up the entire process. I only wish it would let me choose which sound so I could identify it from other alerts.Show lesscalvinelliott
Barely useful
I have had this app for two years and I can tell you that for refrigerators, it leaves a LOT to be desired. It is helpful for monitoring energy usage and status BUT the status DOES NOT come into play where it is MOST needed, in that the app only tells you what settings you have chosen and NOT what is actually going on with the actual TEMPERATURE of the freezer or refrigerator! I have had TWO instances where the refrigerator failed to maintain the desired temperatures and almost lost an entire freezer of food. Downstairs
I love this app and washer and dryer! The washer and dryer is in the basement and I don’t like going downstairs multiple times to check and see if there done. This app makes it nice it just notifies me when it’s done and boom one or two trips if including the dryer downstairs to change out the loads. Kenmore Elite dryer 9.0
Big space inside. Dries towels & comforters with one cycle no matter how heavy the load. It has wrinkle and static free features without the need to add water; it does it for you.
Steams clothes as well as delicately dries them. It does not come with the dryer rack; that’s the reason I gave 4 stars; I had to buy it separately because none of my past 2 Kenmore Elite dryer racks fit it (they use to be included with the dryer). If you download the app it even tells you when the cycle is complete. Overall, the dryer is an excellent appliance.Show lessMecm1203
Dishwasher
I like it when I get the notification when my dishwasher is completed so I can text my kids to empty dishwasher! Also, it notifies me when my dishwasher is having problems such as drainage issue. I was able to fix the problem rather than paying ripoff technicians.Love old games
It’s has its good and bad days
The purpose of the app is amazing! It’s just that sometimes it works and sometimes doesn’t .. I already checked wifi and that’s not the issue . I report it and send in an email and by the time they reach back it’s already fixed and over with . No more Smart Grid Mode
My Kenmore Elite washer less than a year old is no longer connected to their popular smart grid mode. I called for assistance and after numerous calls finally found the right person to tell me the truth: kenmore is no longer offering this kind of activity which not only help me monitor my washer cycles but in case other repair need the repair person could log into my washer to diagnose it. This washer and dryer is ALL that I wanted and I no longer have to go to the laundromat to wash my comforter. I can do EVERYTHING in the comfort of my own home! I contemplated on this particular model due to the cost but I have NO REGRETS and would highly recommend it! Still busted after two years
I paid two grand for a smart washer and dryer. This garbage app worked for a month before going on the endless updates with a constant promise that it would finally work. I gave up and wrote it all off. Someone said it works now, but nope. Can’t even change the wifi. Still utter garbage. Clearly they sold early adopters defective junk and later on, in classic Sears going out of business style, somehow made it work. Hours on the phone. Emails to support. They even said they’d change the wifi chips, which of course were back ordered for months before COVID hit. That you cannot log into the app and do a hard reset on these machines is insane to me. Yes we’ve unplugged them. Yes we’ve held down buttons to reset it. Yea support yeah. A thousand deaths by frustration. Sears makes garbage and deserves their bankruptcy.
