  • Horrible product

    We heard moen was supposed to be best of the best for showers, so when we built our new house we wanted to have it. Turns out that the control unit we got may either be faulty or have old firmware and was told we need to connect it to the app to update it. It was constantly having the screen blank and even turning off to the point of needing to be reset. The unit cannot connect to home, cannot connect to our phone, and cannot have the wifi be accessed. This is a horrible experience and not at all what we expected from a new home shower. As a PhD computer scientist, I absolutely HATE that everything now has to be connected to wifi and the cloud. Nothing should be connected to the cloud because of reasons like this. There very easily could have been a port added to manually update the system, but they decided to cheap out and not have one to get all of your information. I will never recommend this product to anyone.

  • Garbage

    Terrible experience. I changed wifi carriers and I’ve been trying ever since to try and get this thing connected. I removed the shower and tried to get it back. It hangs up at the registration screen. I deleted app and downloaded and my shower suddenly showed up again and it says it’s all connected but it is not.

  • Unit Disconnects Regularly

    We have tried multiple routers, an IOT network on only 2.4ghz and moving routers closer, but the shower unit disconnects every few weeks. This last round was the worst and the unit goes through the setup after a factory reset and stalls out on the 2/3 step. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

    Wish we knew this before buying the unit. We are not paying to have this taken out and installing a new one even if Moen offered to pay for the unit. We shouldn’t be paying a plumber hundreds of dollars to fix Moens bad product. We will rip this out and install a traditional valve from Kohler as well as replacing our Moen fixtures with Kohler after this.

  • Disconnected won’t reconnect

    My valve disconnected for whatever reason. Tried to reconnect it, nothing works. Reset it, nothing, turned it off for 15 seconds. Nothing. Deleted the app and downloaded it again nothing. It gets to the second step of the connection process and just stalls there for hours and never moves past it. Less than a year old and it’s worthless. I’m a contractor in Florida, and I can promise you if this isn’t made right I will never recommend another moen product to another customer again

  • Controller disconnected

    Over a month ago my controller disconnected and after several hours trying to reconnect and troubleshoot I finally called moen and they said there's an issue on their side with accounts and it cannot be fixed until some indefinite time. In the meantime my controller is factory reset and can't be configured since the app cannot connect. I do not recommend people buy a cloud based shower controller that cannot be set up or configured without a web based app because inevitable software updates and obsolescence will eventually break your system.

  • Buy only if you don’t care for smart features!!

    Hardware is great, but this app sucks. I am unable to connect my hardware with the application. I have tried calling support desk and spent 2+ hours with them. At the end, we agreed that this is a known issue and I will have to wait for their upgrade to the application which they have no idea when. none of the features are working. I am unable to change the screen brightness or change the icons or even control the shower from a smart device.

  • Crashes now

    It worked most of the time but when linked with Alexa it sometimes messes up and doesn’t work, seems to work better with HomeKit. But now I can’t open the app at all, crashes on open.
  • PLEASE, let me set my wallpaper.

    The app is OK, there are some connection issues but, once it’s up and running there is a sense of instant feedback when you open up the app. Keep in mind, I’ve just installed this system a couple of days ago an haven’t used it yet, since it’s a new construction…
  • Junk

    I’ve messed with this over priced product for years. I wished I had never installed it. It doesn’t work, we have to continually crawl under the house and reset it. Usually on a freezing cold Monday morning or when you’re running late and need a quick shower. As soon as I can get some one to figure out how to bypass it and install a traditional valve , I’m doing it. This shower cost us around 20k during our bathroom remodel & now we may have to completely rip it out and start over. Sickening.

  • Will not work—had over a year and have never gotten it to connect

    I’m so irritated I ordered this shower to replace my first Moen Smart shower, which broke, and of course was outside of the warranty so spent $1500 on this new Moen smart shower and after waiting eight months for it to arrive, due to whatever issues was shipping there were… We’ve now had it a year, and I have tried numerous times, called customer service at Moen, and anyone can do will help me connect this shower to the app. I looked online and apparently this is a common problem with a very complicated workaround… Not to say, I haven’t tried all the workaround I have found. Nothing works. I wish I could return it, but spent a fortune having it installed in my shower. Ridiculous waste of money.
