  • You expect support?

The equipment is a wonderful concept. Ting support needs to be replaced. They do not make any effort to support their product. After being told to reset, reboot, move the product and do the same steps again, 8 times and then being told they understand this stuff is hard for me to understand due to my age, they then told me the device is incompatible with T-Mobile after I had had it operational for several months with no problem. I no longer use the Ting, the only problem I have with it is no product support. Good theory but practice leaves a lot to be desired.

  • Crazy

When I set up the account the device captured the signal coming from a WiFi extender which has its own signature.
I decided that the extender wasn’t needed& unplugged. Ting stopped working. I wanted to switch it to the regular network and cannot. You must follow the programmed steps or do nothing. I have been unable to find any option to update the network. If I uninstall you get a warning that it will automatically cancel the membership. Very frustrating. Have no idea how to uninstall and reinstall.

  • Wonderful service

Nationwide Insurance provided me with a three year subscription. What a win win idea. Ting monitors the electrical system of my home and sends me weekly reports. If anything is faulty I get to repair it (with a stipend) from Nationwide) so my house doesn’t have an electrical fire costing Nationwide more than the subscription to Ting. The Ting service itself is a no brainer plug in tying up only one outlet. I am considering it for a non-covered vacation home in a state that doesn’t provide the free service

  • Ting is an invaluable element in home safety

Living in an area prone to power interruptions, Ting promptly reports power failures which is especially important to me when i am away from home Tiing continuously monitors many additional issues that are potentially serious also. I would not want to be without Ting helping to insure safety in my home. Thank you.

  • Outstanding little app!

Just had a Generac generator installed. All the lights in the house were flickering. I showed Ting to the Electrician, and when he saw the Hi-Fi values, he said we have a grounding problem. Went outside and came back two minutes later. We tried the generator again, and worked fine. Ting helped diagnose the problem!!
    Great app!

  • Ting monitoring

I have been impressed w the operation of the Ting device and really appreciate the way the information informs you in real time of realtime household current and when there is any interruption in current anywhere in the home. I feel safer knowing I will be notified of a bad circuit potentially causing a fire.

  • Ting

Extremely easy installation and setup process! The app is incredibly helpful as well as easy to use and understand! I look forward to what the future holds and I’m relieved to be able to provide even more safety for my family! I recommend this product to everyone!
  • new install

For a 23 year old home we bought 7 years ago, and with an abundance of add-on electrical devices of all categories, I really suspected obvious issues throughout. Wrong, so far. The only “issue” was a brief power outage due local storms, on day 8, and even that cleared out quickly. We’ll see, but so far its been impressive.

  • It’s not working with my WiFi IOT network

I spent several hours trying to set Ting to work with my IOT WiFi network and was unsuccessful. All other hardwares at my home work completely fine. Ting also shows solid green light (to show it’s connected to internet) and every time I remove it from power outlet I instantly get notification that it’s not connected to power. But at the same time Ting app says that it’s not receiving data from Ting sensor. Because I already spent to much time for this toy (include time with Ting Support) and not ready to reduce firewall settings just for Ting the best way for me is just to return it.

  • Easy To Install

I plugged the sensor into an outlet in the dining room that is rarely used. The Ting Sensor application found the sensor right away and quickly connected it to our house wi-fi. Done!

So far, everything is green, meaning no electrical faults have been found. I know the application will alert me if something goes wrong, but I find myself checking once a day just to see the voltage variations.

I give Ting a double thumbs up.
