If you’re going to upgrade your iPhone, read this first.

I had my electronic vaccination card already on myColorado app with the info of my first 2 vaccinations. Then I decided to upgrade my iPhone and when I was checking if my booster vaccination info was added on the app, myColorado app deleted/removed my electronic vaccination card completely after upgrading my iPhone. I tried everything I could to retrieve it and even filled out an electronic form to investigate the issue. I also chatted with customer service and they told me, out of nowhere, that suddenly there was a name mismatch. Apparently they fixed the name mismatch issue and told me that in 48 hours, I’d be able to see my vaccination card again. After 3 days, I’m still waiting for my vaccination card to be posted electronically with my 3 vaccinations. Is management looking into this? I’m going to travel soon and I need my electronic vaccination card on the app ASAP.

Lousy app

No matter what every other month my app erases my login and password and I’m once again unable to show anything, last time I used the app was to show my vaccine status was three weeks ago and now everything is blank again. And now it will not scan my drivers license to help me get back in the account. I tried a maybe back door by removing the app restarting my iPhone and reinstalled the app and still doesn’t scan my drivers license.

Now broken

The app used to work, but is now broken for me. I created an account and used a suggested password. When I tried to log in with the latest version, Face ID failed, and the password is no longer in my keychain. I tried to recover the password, but it says my account word is not recognized. So I try to create a new account snd it says the account already exists. So it’s broken…I can’t recover my password, and I can’t create a new account with my email address.

Problems with the app

When this app works it’s great and it is really useful, the problem is that it has a lot of issues. One of the issues that appears is that it will randomly not accept the Face ID scan and constantly log in and log you out and the only way to stop this is to uninstall the app. Once uninstalled the app either does not accept your original user name or will, this appears to be random. I really would like for this app to be more reliable so I don’t have carry my vaccination card especially because more places will require it to get in. Please make this app more stable

Don’t rely on it.

I installed the app several months ago and got my COVID vaccine pass which took quite some time to verify me. Then added my drivers license.

Last month the app didn’t work, and had me verify again who I was and I spent about 45 minutes going through that process again.

When I got my booster shot I went back into the app to see if it was registered. Well, I had to verify myself for the third time!!!

All was working last week. Two days ago Denver went into a mask mandate or allowing a business to admit COVID vaccinated people. One of our entertainment centers already had that mandate in place. So, with $249 in tickets in hand, I was not admitted. Why, I could not open the Mycolorado app. I showed the ticket taker a pic of my card, but it was a bit to dark and out of focus.

Frustrating. Well, after observing a bunch of people having the same problem the center relaxed the rule for the night.

Don’t trust this app.

Generally convenient. Missing some things

It’s great that the state provides this app. Fantastic to have vaccination records from the state in the smart health card format, rather than trying to aggregate from different providers. However, there doesn’t seem to be any way to add the smart card to Apple wallet yet. The share sheet that pops up when attempting to download the smart health card does not appear to be entirely standard, and its last choice, “Print“, overlaps the slide up bar at the bottom of the screen.

Also, I am visually impaired and use dark mode, because I cannot read dark text on a white background. It would be nice if the app would respect the choice and provide a dark mode friendly design option.

Great concept but some small flaws

I really love the concept of this app. Debility to store your Colorado ID, your vaccination records, your insurance and registration information as well as other state related info… However getting access to this information is difficult I will keep the faith and continue using it because it’s the best way for vaccination records to be stored and validated without having to carry your vaccine card everywhere. Looking forward to fixes and updates as the application matures

Update 5.2 broke app

The 5.2 update broke the app on IPhone. When you launch the app and Face ID tries to log you in, it starts a loop where the app logs you in for a split second and then reverts to the app log in screen prompting Face ID to activate again. This happens seven or eight times and then the log in screen is displayed. Ostensibly you could then sign in manually but that is if you happen to remember your user name and password which I do not because I used the strong password feature when I originally set up my account on this app which was not saved in my phones password list due to the app blocking this feature. So until there is a fix for this issue this app has been rendered useless. Clearly the people who coded the new Colorado unemployment website were also tapped to make this app inoperable as well. Why do government entities still not understand how to make intuitive and functional net mediums? The answer is a lack of beta testing and a lowest bid gets the contract mentality. Do better, we are not in the early days of the internet anymore, these types of coding errors are a direct result of incompetent creators fostered by governmental entities who have neither the knowledge nor the technical aptitude required to make informed decisions about technological viability as it relates to important government operations.

Logout bug in version 5.2

There appears to be a bug in the latest version, version 5.2, that causes an endless loop of logging in and logging out of the application. It basically renders it unusable. When the app worked in the past it is handy and good start for a digital wallet of key Colorado documents. Unfortunately this latest version has this bug which makes the app completely unusable right now. Hopefully it gets fixed soon and this would be at least a four-star app at that point.

Perfect app until it stopped working.

I was enjoying the app and how well developed it was. I bragged about it to my friends from other states. All of a sudden, it started to say my identity needed to be verified. After the process of verification, it would take me to the app again and keep asking for verification again. I have logged out, deleted and reinstalled the app and the problem continues. I just talked to a neighbor who said she is having the same problem.
An app is going if maintenance is continuous and updates are frequent. Otherwise, the become a problem.
