NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!!!! I booked a spot for a professional event I was attending with a friend of mine in DC on a Friday night and I wanted assurance that parking would be available, so I booked a spot in advance at a garage near the venue for like $10 or something like that. I arrive at the garage entrance during the time frame I booked, and the entrance is closed so I couldn’t get in! Had to go to another garage where I also had to pay to park. Will never be using this service ever again.
Park chirp charged me 10 dollars to park at Memorial Hermann Parking Plaza and issued me a barcode to enter the garage AFTER my 7 pm reservation. Upon arrival there is nothing there to accept the barcode. I contacted management in the garage and they said they don't accept Park Chip. They instructed me to pull a ticket, pay AGAIN to park. Because ParkChirp doesn't let you enter until AFTER your reservation begins the refund button magically disappears once you enter the garage.
This is a SCAM. They don't answer customer service help requests. I've emailed them FOUR times for my refund. I'll report them to all authorities, BBB, and call my credit card company.
I downloaded the app and searched for a garage near my destination. Miller Outdoor Theater. It sent me to a garage on commerce and Fannin. I had instructions, address and a barcode. There was nothing there to accept a barcode. The app specifically told me NOT to pull a ticket. The only way to enter was to pull a ticket. I contacted management at the garage and they said the barcode was not accepted at this location.
So, we were left holding up traffic in the garage, having to turn around and find another parking space on the street. I reported this in the app and no one has contacted me or removed the charges for a garage they had no right sending me to.
I reserved a space for $20, despite all day parking being $14 before 9AM. It made me set an end time despite my already paying more than a regular all day pass already. I set it for half an hour after I got off work, but I ended up getting off work about 45 minutes late. I was unable to exit the garage until I paid another $24! So I ended up paying $44 for parking that was supposed to cost $14 because I arrived WELL before 9AM. I emailed the app about a refund - crickets. Going forward, I will take public transit or park in the lot across the street.
Prepaid for parking unnecessarily, actually Just to get ripped off by the app. No reserved spot no clear instructions on redeeming your pre paid parking. Just awful customer service, actually there is no indication there is any customer service. They never respond. Ended up paying twice for my parking and never received a response from the app when I could not redeem or cancel my “reservation” for a spot that was never reserved Don’t bother with this app they are making themselves the middleman providing zero benefit to you. They tell you to “arrive after your reserved time” so when you can not redeem the prepaid parking from the app you can no longer “cancel” for a refund because it is after your reserved time. Your stuck paying a second time to the garage and still eat the payment for prepaid parking. This app serves no purpose.
Just downloaded, keeps saying unable to find a price for the query. But when you go direct to the garage owners site they are all there and can buy from there, but not showing up in this app which was suggested by the owner. Was hoping to use app for ease over a website. Also nothing is showing on the map, only shows in list view.
I am not sure why this app has 2.5 stars. It’s a 5/5 for me. I always use this app and it has never disappointed. I have not experienced any bugs. I live in Chicago and i use this app when I am trying to park in the downtown area. My options are paid street parking or use ParkChirp to find a lower price. 95% of the time, I will find a lower price in ParkChirp
I ordered a $275 monthly parking pass through ParkChirp, but when I arrived at the parking garage the manager in the garage parking office said they had never heard of ParkChirp, never received any communication from them, and never received the payment. They would not allow me to park in the garage without purchasing a new pass.
I tried contacting the ParkChirp support email, but they ignored my email. I waited 5 days and sent a follow-up email. No response.
As far as I can tell, ParkChirp is just out here committing fraud and counting on no one reporting them. Your experience may differ, but don't be surprised if ParkChirp just steals your money and does not give you a legitimate parking pass.
This is the worst app I have ever encountered. I tried numerous times in both the app and website to book a reservation using several different credit cards. Every time the app was unable to process the payment. There is no support line and I got no response from the help inquiry I submitted. In theory it is a very simple application. Put in the address, date/time and credit card and hit submit. It is remarkable how they managed to screw it up.
Pay for parking an hour in advance through this app. And when I returned two hours before the paid deadline expired, I discovered that my car had a fine of $124 and it was also been booted so I had to wait an hour for the person in charge to come.
