  • Horrible

    This app is very frustrating. Very good info regarding the cruise when the app is working. Often will be unresponsive and has frequently encountered a critical error that has required deleting and reinstalling the app.
  • I have not even boarded the cruise yet and I cannot log in correctly for the offered promotions

    I’ve received multiple promotions like reserve your dining in advance and get your bar tab set up in advance and every single time I try to take Virgin up on the offer, there’s some issue with the app. It can’t logon, or it’s run into a problem, or i try back later… it’s kind of a bummer. I know virgin is kind of a “cool” Energy but go ahead and hire a few “nerdy” employees as well to get your app up and running correctly

  • Super buggy

    The cruise is great, but this app and their digital systems in general are extremely buggy. I understand that they outsource this tasks, but do they even have a QA team to quality prove these products? My app just hangs for a minute and then says “oops, try again”, and nothing works. I have to reinstall it to make it working for a couple of times and then it gets into this same state. I showed the issue to a crew member onboard, but they couldn’t help with it. Their inroom system is glitchy too - it’s playing the safety video again and again not allowing to enter the normal TV mode. We have to call for a crew member to help (if they can at all). So, in general - everything’s extremely buggy.

  • Glitchy and not super useful

    In their quest to be hip, virgin has neglected usability. The app is not at all intuitive. You have to hunt and peck for things that should be on the homepage. There should be a deck plan that is easy to find and easy to navigate. The reservation system should not say Uh Oh every single time you try to make an edit. You should be able to add sailor loot from the app, or at least online! Overall the app is very glitchy and not user friendly. They’ve had an extra almost 2 years to get this right before they sailed. It really should be much, much better.

  • Start over

    I almost never rate apps but this was so terrible I had to. Just disembarked the Scarlet Lady today and while I enjoyed the cruise, the app was terrible! Why wouldn’t you include a deck plan on the app? I ordered a drink from the app and it never came, when I decided to cancel it I was still charged $13. Had to go back and forth with sailor services to have it removed. I had to delete and reinstall it at least once a day because it would just keep spinning. Just…go back to the drawing board on this because this was the worst part of the cruise experience.

  • Essential to cruise experience, but doesn’t work

    This app is where you are supposed to order food, book reservations, contact guest services, see the itinerary, etc.

    The problem is that I am currently on the Scarlet Lady and the app just doesn’t work. All I get is errors or persistent loading messages. The only suggested fix is to delete and install, which I’ve done at least 4 times.

    The app appears to be designed well and with good intentions for a unique cruise experience, but right now, its best to forget about it after you get onboard the ship.

  • This app needs to be rebuilt from the ground up

    This app is what you get when you combine good design with terrible developers. Why does navigating between screens take several seconds? Why can't tabs go back to where I left off when I navigated away? Why is nothing cached? Using this app is often a rage-inducing experience.

    I'm shocked Virgin Voyages, being as tech-forward as they claim to be, couldn't invest properly in their mobile app when it is the only channel for shipboard activities and dining.

  • Please get this app done 🙏🏾

    It’s been no big deal not having an app that opens when you click the icon because I didn’t need it at the time. But now I’m 10 days from sailing and getting emails to make restaurant reservations and select excursions but can’t even get into the app. It spins nonstop. And the few times I do get in, the things I’m expecting to find are not there, and things I’ve completed are showing errors. Ughhhhh!!!!! So Frustrating!!! Virgin! I know you’re better than this!

  • Not ready

    It’s going to be great when they finish setting it up. Right now more than half the features are not available yet, which would be okay if the same features were available online but they aren’t. With regular sailings starting next week the app should have been out of beta testing by now. Sailor services is helpful, but I like to research on my own

  • Totally frustrating app

    Yesterday app worked. Today not. Wife’s app never connects.
    We have both uninstalled/ reinstalled. No difference.
    Tried their online chat. Always says Not Available. Filled in an email, pressed send and immediately got ‘Whoops something went wrong’.
    So called V Voyages on an 0800 number I found (can’t find it now) and got through to home worker in Florida and advised all food/ entertainment booking has to be done through the app NOT on their website.
    Also shocked to find that for their Portsmouth staycation 3 or 4 day cruises we have first got to go to a Tipnor Lane address in Portsmouth, park, have an antigen test, show proof of 2 jabs, wait, be given various ‘bands’ then drive to terminal, park and go then through checkin and then get on the ship with hand luggage only.
    Now trying to find more details but as our apps will not load successfully can’t make progress.
    Virgin App… should be called Virgin Crapp.
