Doesn’t work
Have fun trying to login when you just get told card not valid. Can’t remember your password ,or your user ID? don’t worry your card is not valid anyway! Enjoy spending 20-45 frustrating mins to try to get this app to log you in when it doesn’t work , it’s so fun! Why they upgraded the app is beyond me ! the old app worked perfectly and I NEVER had any issues! Thanks Direct Express you’ve wasted time I will never get back ,anxiety ,and stress that Will be with me for a life time! Fix this app! I swear I’ve been having issues with it for months and months! I keep checking back to see if you fixed the bugs and I’m let down every time! I appreciate the consistency! My finances are important and you are only add stress to an already stressful situation. 👎” I’d give you a zero ,but I can’t .So,give you one ⭐️.”

Nonexistent customer support
Considering that the wait time is sometimes never till someone picks up and then they’re very anxious to get rid of you it is necessary believe me to get questions answered that are not robotic you have a new app now which I downloaded I had a lot of trouble gaining access I believe that’s done but now but I can’t transfer monies from the app I still need to go into the Safari browser on my iPhone to do that which I’ve been doing for years now something new with that is that they tell me I don’t have enough alphanumeric characters it works for the app it is enough alphanumeric characters I googled it and found out exactly what alphanumeric characters are it needs to be from 6 to 8-I have 9 and I can’t go further from there so now I can’t transfer monies this is my money I need to be able to do this.

Why 5 star ratings?
Why did people leaving these bad reviews give the app 4 or 5 stars? Do you think the app is good or bad? It’s confusing when I am searching the reviews to see if I want the app or not. If you think this app is no good, give one star.
Anyways, for my review I want to write that it is ridiculous to not let me use the old app anymore and then try to send me to new app only to stop me because new app is not in my country (USA). What am I supposed to do now? It is too inconvenient to try calling DE every time I need my balance, when I used to just pull it up on app. Please fix and get app for USA!

Liked it better before...
I like most of the new version. Most. What I don't like is how the transactions are listed. They are MUCH more difficult to read. I check everything by date and by where I spent the money. The old way of listing the transactions : the type was larger, the dates WAY easier to see because they were highlighted and larger than the transaction information, the info itself was easier to read as well. I do like the fingerprint access though.

DOES NOT WORK FOR OLDER CARDHOLDERS!
I have an iPhone 8 Plus and an older Direct Express Mastercard. This app does not work for my card/number. When attempting to register, the app asks for the expiration date on my card. It requires an 8-digit expiration date that includes the 2-digit day, the 2-digit month and the 4-digit year. My particular card only shows a 2-digit month and a 4-digit year. So I can’t even use this app and the old app doesn’t work either because it keeps redirecting me over to the new app! There was nothing wrong with the old app, so why change a good thing??? Please fix this unprofessional ridiculousness!!!

Facial Recognition Issues
I set up my app to use facial recognition in place of entering a password every time I log in. The idea is great, but after 2 logins, it requires me to enter my password again. This is not an efficient way to apply facial recognition. I use facial recognition on several other apps, and none requires me to login in every few times I visit the site. Please work on this issue. If this is fixed, I would certainly give 5 stars. Thank you.

New Direct Express App for 5737
I had absolutely no issues with the old App and after reading all these reviews I was completely ready to give up on Direct Express and just do direct deposit to my reg bank. Well to my amazement i installed this new App installed with not a single issue. Log in and log out no problems. I installed this as a new user and the only thing that I used from my old account was my Email address, the last 4 of my DE card number and SS number. I tried to install this App when it first came and i didn’t realize that there’s a few differçvent versions of this app and they are ca specific and one for the old version. I H kHept installing the wrong one .**MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE ONE THAT IS FOR THE LAST 4 NUMBERS OF YOUR D/E CARD or it won’t work period..

New app or upgrade is NOT better!
I hate this new app! What was wrong with the old one?The new app is, of course, not showing my information correctly! There is absolutely nothing wrong with the old app and I’m not sure why people insist on upgrading or updating or whatever you guys think you’re doing when you make changes because things are not better, it doesn’t do some of the things the old app did and I don’t like that, so for me I don’t care for it at all.

App problems
Two days ago it showed the balance it was going to be pending to be put in my account and then yesterday certainly nothing pending no past transactions no pest deposit I still cannot get it right I have called into the DX phone number that’s on the back of my card they told me just to uninstall and restart I did I restart my phone I have updates on my phone and it is nothing is working from now on my iPad and it’s doing the same thing if you can help before payday tomorrow and tonight will be great

Can’t even register
I’ve been using the old app for many many years with no issues. But then this new app came around. *sigh
I’d try to sign into my old app and get the message that I needed to update. When I hit the OK button I’d get another message saying “it wasn’t available in my area”. So…haven’t been able to use the app for a few months now.
Today though I found the app I needed and tried to register my card. NOPE. Cant even get my card registered!!! It says the expiration date is invalid. I’m putting in exactly what my card says. And yes I’m using the correct app(corresponding to my card number).
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the app!!!!!
