  • Diet ap

I don’t think this is user friendly. I just started using it and I’m sure there is a learning curve but instructions are not clear and editing is difficult to figure out.
  • Super buggy

For the cost of this program, you’d expect an app that is well tested and works properly. This is beta software at best. When you log your meals in the journal, they don’t save. It’s not clear when a food is deleted. This is a very rudimentary app. If you are used to something like MyFitnessPal or lose it, you’ll be disappointed. On the positive, the meal planner recipes are very good. Certainly not worth the money as is.
  • Don’t bother.

I expected this app to integrate the diet plan with user experience and diet tracking. Poor quality food tracking, inaccurate results (my nutrition shake was measured in number of cookies???), activity tracker was way off and no way to update or change. Other apps available and other plans for free. No refunds either for bad app. Will not be recommending this to my family, friends or patients.
  • App does not have features of the website for tracking

In the food tracker on the app, you do not have the options that the website does. So if you are trying to track food that is not one of the MCD recipes, you can’t adjust portion size, and in my case can’t find it in the pop up list. Or add manually. The app needs improvement. The functionality of the My Fitness Pal app is much better in this regard.
  • It’s ok, just not great

I have found the Mayo Diet program itself to be good overall. I’m developing good health habits and find the meal plans enjoyable. The website and the app not so much. They are both hard to navigate and the app does not show your progress and info the same way the website does. For instance in the site I can see a graph that shows my starting weight and my current weight. No such graph in the app. For the cost of this monthly program, Mayo can do better and should have developed the digital tools more thoroughly before releasing the app.

Honestly, I think the book @24.99 is a better resource and certainly much cheaper. Unfortunately, Mayo will not get any more of my money for now.
  • Activity Tracking Is Very Buggy

While you’re supposed to be able to use your “Journal” as both a food and activity tracker, the activity tracking portion is definitely not to the standard of comparable apps/programs that are the same price or cheaper. Does not support activity tracking devices, simply editing exercise duration is a headache, caloric burn estimates are incorrect and does not have ability to edit caloric fields.
  • DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Aweful app waste of money - same recipes over and over again, aweful taste - it’s not for busy people like most of us are. Too expensive.
  • App is Useful

I can’t review the diet yet because I just started it, but the app so far has been great. Tracking on it is very different than other apps; however it is nice to be able to simply add the entire recipe to the journal with one click. So much easier than adding every individual ingredient.
  • No support and confusing app

Wish I had read these reviews before I put out $99 for NOTHING! No support and no way to get out of 3 months to try to get app to work correctly! Very disappointed that Mayo Clinic would put out a program without support or way to speak to someone! Never again!
  • Not close to be ready to launch

I was excited to see the new Mayo Clinic diet with the app to be able to make tracking easier. For the price point of the diet and the app I am totally regretting my decision to subscribe. I have canceled future payments but stuck with the pricetag for 3 months. Wish the i could get my money back. The app really is almost useless.
