  • Love this community

This is the first lifting programme I have followed so I can’t compare it to others, but I love how we focus on 4 main lifts and the overall aim is to get stronger in those. There is a discord server for the SBTD community (and those following Meg and/or her other programmes) and I find it so fun discussing the workouts each week with them. If you’re a solo gym goer like me who has no gym buddies, it makes training feel a little less alone.

  • Keeps getting better

I love this program, and the app just makes life so much easier. The tracking, the automatic TM updates and the guidance videos that go alongside each exercise really takes the thought out of my workouts! The best part is that they’re continually improving and so I can’t wait to see what comes next.

  • Great strength gains

The good: I’ve been using this program for about a month and have seen great gains in that period of time. Other apps I’ve tried had too many bodyweight exercises or basic lifts with no accessory movements. The workouts change enough each week to keep them exciting. You can substitute exercises you don’t have the equipment for, or that might be too difficult/easy. Video demonstrations and instruction are provided for every exercise.

The improve-able: This plan can be modified, but I still lean towards it being more intermediate than beginner-friendly. That’s based primarily on workout length; I rarely finish a workout in less than 1 1/2-2 hours. One way to improve that would be to add a beginner or “express” option for the daily workouts. I can see other use cases for shortened plans - there are days I am short on time and would rather do a 30 or 60 min. workout than miss out on entirely.

Overall, I love this app and have recommended it to others.

  • The best fitness app I have tried

Great app, so thought out and the programming is great. Easy to use, great layout. On the rare occasion I need to sub an exercise it is so easy to do. It’s great for seeing my progression through the weeks. Really enjoying it and I have tried a lot of fitness apps! Also amazing support from @strongstrongfriends on Instagram if I ever have any questions

  • Good programs but needs better customer service

Have felt really strong since starting this program. I happen to love the type of training so it’s worked well. The only caveat is that you’re training what Meg Squats want to work on in that block period. If you want to focus on different things it doesn’t give you an option. I would also say that I’m missing the community portion of this journey. Sometimes sharing how strong you’ve gotten with the people that are on the same plan as you gets you motivated. You don’t really have this here.

Lastly, I try to plan my training around the day that the training program drops which is Sunday at 3pm. While it’s a little inconvenient it’s doable. I had the app crash on me and I didn’t have who to reach out to so I could get this solved. I reached out to Strong Strong Friends on Instagram and didn’t hear back from them and also to Meg Squats on Instagram and was left on read. I know she’s probably inundated with messages and has her personal life WHILE BEING A MOM nonetheless so I think it’s important to have a more reliable customer service team.

  • Great app!

A great, user friendly app that has helped me to get my training mojo back. I love everything about it and can’t recommend it enough! Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, get on it.
  • Variety of workouts

This is my second week and I am loving the app and programme. I have tried a few workout programmes/apps and this is the best one yet. I love the fact that the programme is changed weekly. The stats recording is good and simple. If I could ask for 1 improvement it would be to able to see my previous PB for a workout before I start a new workout.

  • Amazing program

This program has a ton to offer. I personally use the body weight option as I do not have a gym near me and am constantly traveling. The workouts are well thought out and put together. Please never get rid of the body weight option!!

The app interface is also great. It’s easy to navigate and rarely has “bugs”. It is clear that a lot of hard work goes into the app as well as the program itself.

  • Excellent programming, mostly amazing app

I love love love the programming, for me it’s exactly the right mix of power lifting moves with accessories. And it is different enough that I don’t get bored. The app is mostly great although I find myself wishing for a couple more features like automatic weight estimates for given percentages, more information about exercise variations (sometimes it calls for a move and doesn’t give further info with the assumption you should know it), and the stability can be spotty especially if internet connection is poor which mine often is in my home gym. Going to keep using for the foreseeable future! Looking forward to updates.

  • Great Program, Terrible App

The programming behind the app is great. Even the “bodyweight” version is pretty good for being an afterthought to a strength training program! But the app is so bad that I just use a pen and paper. Keep track of all the numbers myself, do the math myself, etc - in other words, all the things the app is supposed to do for me. I’ve obviously tried to use the app, but it crashes what feels like every other time I use it. I update my training maxes and it doesn’t save. I get most of the way through a workout and it crashes or freezes and may or may not remember my workout. I signed up for a year because I love the creator and the programming is definitely solid, but I already cancelled so it doesn’t auto renew. There are other apps with good programming that actually work.
