  • Disappointed Credits Expire without warning

I have been using this app now for over 2 years and have found it to be great, have recommended it to many and have raved about it, especially as I could make postcards wherever I was whenever I wanted to.
However from there publicity that buying 20 credits save you lots I went ahead and did that last summer, and have been using this without any trouble until the 20th of July I was showing someone the app but stumbled when I came to send the card as my credits have disappeared. I had to search hard to find that they only last for 364 day, but if I had know that before I purchased them I would have attempted to use them up. But instead when I wanted / needed to send a card I was forced to buy more credits, I will be using these credits up and then deleting this app as very disappointed.
They also don’t respond to emails

  • Touchnote stole my credits

To start off I loved this app. A fabulous way of sending personalised cards. I bought a large batch of credits in 2015 which had no expiration date. Earlier this year Touchnote chose to alter our agreement and added an 3 month expiration to my already bought 67 credits. Unless I signed up to a monthly subscription. As I did not have a need to send out a huge number of cards at that time, nor wish to pay even more to keep that which I had already paid for, they expired. Unilaterally changing the terms of a mutually agreed contract is immoral and illegal. I consider Touchnote’s behaviour to be the equivalent of theft.
Why should anyone hand over money to a company which is happy to rewrite the terms at any stage? They now claim to have a 1 year expiration on any credits bought, what is to stop them altering that to 1 month, or 1 day, immediately after you transfer your money. It is such a shame, as I used to sing their praises, but now I strongly recommend you use one of the many alternative and more honest apps.

  • The absolute best app ever

While I lived in the States this was the absolute best thing I could find to send postcards to my grandfather in Germany who lives alone and gets so much joy out of getting letters from us that also include pictures! The fact that it’s typed is also just an added bonus for his poor eyesight. Now I’m a Peace Corps Volunteer and live in rural Zambia and snail mail here takes about 6 months to send or receive so I’ve been using the app. My parents are delighted to get updates from me that include photos and also allows me to still send birthday cards to my friends. My grandfather still gets the postcards I send him even from here and from what my mom tells me, it makes his day. I’ve recommended this app to so many people they should really give me a bonus by now! One of the little, cheap ways left in life to truly make someone’s day, especially with this technology takeover!

  • Used to like it

I am generally satisfied with card delivery to Canada, but when I tried sending cards to my penpal in the US, TouchNote didn't print the complete address. I sent a greeting card and a postcard, and both got returned to me. TouchNote admitted the error, blamed their printer and promised to fix the issue a month ago, but now they smply don't respond to my emails.

The quality of the cards is iffy image-wise, they look much darker than my uploaded images. I will most likely look into a different service once this one expires.

  • Easy, personalised cards!

I adore TouchNote!! Been using this app ever since I saw Richard Ayoade on Travel Man use it to send postcards. Much more personal than a store bought card. I love adding my own photos I’ve edited (and also photos of my own drawings!) It’s so easy to custom-make a postcard for friends and family. It takes only minutes by uploading from the photo gallery on my phone to the app. My hot tip: I love taking pictures of family and friends when I meet their new-born babies and then sending it to them as a family photo. So many people have my postcards on their fridge! 😊👍🏻

  • Don’t get too excited...

Sounds like a great idea. Started off as a great idea. Quickly ran into issues. The TouchNote system kicked out our credit card information and doesn’t allow ANY form of payment to be placed in. We have even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Since my daughter was in the UK, I even tried logging on in the states to see if that was an issue... nope, same problem. NOT EVEN Apple Pay (as the update advertises) wouldn’t work. Didn’t get the full amount of trial, even have charges for multiple duplicate cards that we received. (Not diving too much into that as could be adult child/operator error.) However, the only way you can communicate with someone is via email. Don’t expect a personalized response either, it’s all generated and I am having to constantly repeat myself in the emails. So Mia, Customer Support Team Leader, hopefully we can get this straightened out on a more personal level...instead of automatic computer generated emails

  • FRUSTRATING!!!!

Super super frustrating experience! Starting to wonder if they’re a legitimate company at all. I ordered two postcards well over two months ago which STILL haven’t been received, when I contacted them they told me to wait a month, after which they resent the cards (which still haven’t been delivered the second time around till date-it has been 2.5 months since my first order).

Unhelpful responses from customer support that keep saying “we do not have control over the delivery”. But delivery is a part of the service you’re providing and if you can’t ensure that we get the product we pay for, then exclude international shipping from your service. Super disappointed with this experience, would’ve been easier and quicker to send something by regular mail... or even pigeon post.

  • Furious

This used to be an excellent app, but updates requiring a premium subscription for features that were once available to pay-as-you-go consumers has ruined my postcards.
The preview of my postcard, being sent to 7 recipients, showed a map & date of where & when the photo was taken, so there was no reason to include this in my text. Also, I was able to add a photo to the stamp (as before). When I clicked to send the cards I was offered to purchase a premium subscription in almost illegible text, I refused the subscription as I had already paid for credits in advance and had 74 in my account. Once the cards were sent, the previews showed no map, date or photo on the stamp. These items were essentially to this particular postcard, which was marking an important day in our family history.
I had to send another 7 postcards at further expense with the date & location written into the text.
Is this the way that early adopters are treated, take their money for advance credits, then change the product removing features once included in the price of a credit. Appalling.

  • Credits that expire?

I’m out. Which is too bad because it’s truly an awesome app.

Hi Niki, we would love to not include any expiry at all, but our credit packs are a great way of getting your hands on big discounts in return for which we get certainty around when they're used. You have a year to use the credits but if you need longer there's TouchNote Premium! Any questions, please send our support a message and we'll be happy to help :)
  • Defective cards, expiring credits.

When I saw the physical cards I had sent, the text had been cut off at the bottom. Sometimes the text was large, sometimes illegibly small. It filled only a fraction of the space or spilled out of it. On another occasion - I only caught it a couple of times because I didn’t check with my recipients if they got their cards every time - cards never turned up. When I raised a complaint with customer service they were slow, argumentative and didn’t settle the matter satisfactorily. I had been a long time customer - I didn’t see the cards at the other end until I’d been using the app regularly for five years - and they should have made an effort to retain me if they didn’t want to lose me to a rival. They also introduced an expiry date to their credits, so they became worthless if they weren’t used within a set time period, something I wasn’t aware of when I bought them. It doesn’t amount to much money, but it still feels like a swindle. I was also disappointed by the twee designs of their greeting cards and the limitations of the app for making your own designs. The app is a good business concept but badly executed, and the company will lose customers if they don’t lift their game.
