  • Awesome app BUT time limited credits

    Positives
App works great. Postage to uk destinations fast.
    Negatives
    Postage to Canadian destinations SLOW.
    Deal breaker
The big kicker though (that they don’t tell you upfront) is the credits mysteriously expire now. So $60 lost for me.
    In summary
Good concept but in the end cheaper - when it’s all added up - and sometimes quicker to buy and mail a real card/postcard.

Hi Steve, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We've always had a credit expiry policy and the only significant change we've made is not the fact that credits will expire but rather to the period in which they will continue to be valid. If you have any questions, please have a look at our terms and conditions (https://touchnote.com/terms/) or get in touch with our support, we'll be happy to help :)
  • Once again Touchnote has changed the goalposts

I am a long-term user and supporter of Touchnote, and it has been a great service. I've spent a lot of money on postcards over the years and currently have credits in my account (so that's money of mine in Touchnote’s bank account). Once again they have changed the goalposts without supporting existing users, taking functionality that we had and making it only available to “premium”, i.e. monthly-fee-paying, customers*. Most egregiously, there is now an expiration date on credits — something which was not made clear when I bought my last bundle. This is mis-selling, Touchnote. If you think I’m going to sign up to pay you on a monthly basis after you’ve so clearly demonstrated you can’t be trusted with my money, then you have another think coming. It’s very short-sighted because I would have happily carried on with Touchnote, but now I’ve been prompted to look for an alternative. Shame you couldn’t be bothered to look after your old customers properly.

*I have also just read a review from a customer who said Touchnote took a year’s worth of fees in one go and refused a refund when the customer requested it. If this is true I think Touchnote are in breach of distance selling rules — customers can cancel their order up to 14 days after making it for a full refund.

  • Excessive processing time reduces usefulness

I use TouchNote exclusively for sending postcards while on vacation. I love the TouchNote concepts/business model, and the app is pretty good as well. However, the processing time, from the time one uploads a postcard to the time Touchnote posts it in the mail, is too long.

One of the main advantages of using TouchNote to send postcards when on vacation is the potential timing. I usually attempt to send postcards on the first few days of vacation. Assuming my trip is approximately one week long, my family/friends SHOULD receive the postcard before I return. Unfortunately, Touchnote, can take 2 to 3 business days before the card is actually posted. When this lead time is tacked on top of the USPS delivery cycle, the recipients rarely receives the postcard “in time” (I.e. I beat the postcard getting back home). In my opinion, this greatly reduces the benefit of using the TouchNote system. If Touchnote could reduce THIER processing time to 1 business day, I would rate the app 5 stars.

  • Fun

    Really easy and fun.
  • Horrible service

Liked this app for the postcards but that’s it. In the beginning loved and used their photos boxes but with no notice they have deleted the photos boxes but still showed them on their site. When questioned why I can’t get the photos boxes to work i was told they’ve done away with them and to use their photos book. I don’t want to make photo book. Let me decide on what I want! So I actually tried this week to make a photo book and guess what?!? Doesn’t work! Their worthless customer service tells me to delete the app and reinstall or log out, well that’s just stupid if they knew what they were doing because if I do either of those prompts it deletes the book.
So needless to say, don’t bother with anything other than a postcard because this company has clearly tried to expand before they are ready and capable.
The book I tried to make, I’ll just go back to Apple and do it thru them where I’ve never had any issues.

  • Easy! So special!

Since using Touch Note, my family and friends all around the world have received more postcards from me than I’ve sent in my whole life! The perfect way to send them pictures of my new baby, and how exciting and personal for them all to actually receive in their mailbox a physical card, as opposed to just another email. Very special! And I’ve never had any problems with the app or ordering or anything like that. Love it! Annie - New Zealand

  • Don’t like Subscription

I have had TouchNote now for some 12 months, and bought under the credit system which was great no pressure to use the cards in a specific time. But now they have gone to a subscription type which means you now have to you them in a specific time and then renew, unless you spend $240+ for unlimited which makes very expensive way of sending a card.
Give people the option of credits or I feel you will lose a lot of business. Like me I may only send a few cards a year so it becomes expensive and will go back to the old way. Sad as your idea is great and easy to use.

  • Hidden gem

This is a very handy app to use whilst traveling. I have told so many people about how convenient it is. At first they don’t get it when I say 'yes! You are sending a real postcard. They seem to think it is some sort of email or website thing. This is perfect when sending to elderly relatives who love to receive a 'real postcard!
Perhaps the marketing photos could show people holding the real thing?
I just love it, I’ve even sent myself one so that I can show my senior internet class students what a great travel extra this app really is.
